there seems to be no drag racing section for rctech ???

not sure if this counts but i am making my own drag car from old 1/12 scale parts.
running a 9t (4000kv) motor on 3s
here is a couple pics (off phone ) i have done a bit more, but really need some proper hubs so there is no diff and some soft drag tyres

I am going a DRC chassic sporting a 13 mm sintered tuning rotor
inside Novak's BALLISTIC 3.5T/10500KV

Traction control via Spectrum's DX3R & Mamba Max Pro Speed Control

Needless to say I am like a kid at Christmas waiting for delivery

Going to do a funny car next

This is the all new body that will go on it

Just ordered this direct drive funny car

includes a wheelie bar

Notice there is no gear on just one side near the tire like some chassis

this eliminates one tire pulling harder than another

plenty of room up front for a 3 cell lipo in order to launch harder

I have been 3 cell drag racing for as long as they have had 3 cells.

My best runs have been 1.28 @ 102 mph in 3 cell rail (dragster)
and 1.36 seconds @ 97 mph in a 3 cell funny car

You can check out my cars at www.TimSmithRacing.com

Both car running Novak motor, Novak Kinetic esc, MaxAmps 4200 mah cells

If your looking for drag chassis most of the record holding cars are built by Grand Motorsports (GrandMotorsports.com) or JC Dragworks unfortunately gear box style cars like pictured above look awesome but are not as fast as normal style (sidewinder) cars and don't work any better because of their design. That style car came out a couple of years ago but was never as fast as existing cars.

What is the fastest you have run so far with your cars?
