I wish I could have raced in those days, but by the looks of what people are wearing and driving those pictures were taken well before my time.

That 1/8 Delta looks like a nitro version of the AYK Cyclone. I'm sure it was AYK who copied Delta's design for the Cyclone.

Does anyone have any pics of events at TQ Hobbies in San Pedro, CA?

By the time I started in this hobby and found the place, it was on its way out. I was able to run a practice there on what was left. Even bought a Bolink wiper arm controller there. Would be nice to see what the place looked like in its hey day.

Exactly. Delta was innovator for several designs with rc cars and other companies followed them, not only AYK. But AYK was the one who made cars what were very similar from an optical view too.

Regarding that Cyclone there was also a much cheaper copy of this one as the Cyclone was very expensive. I just remember the name was Condor and the plastic parts were yellow colour. Have to dig trough my old magazines, maybe I will find a picture again.

Meanwhile Im not sure what cars Condor made electric or gas cars. But either they did copy the Cyclone or the Delta Eagle 1/8th what is the original car anyway. I have to find the old magazine.
