Default Some Questions about touring cars...

Ok, Im gettin a job at a local hobbytown and there gonna start racing at there new store... anyway I wanna now what kinda touring car I should get?

Were gonna be racing in a parking lot on a track that will be changed everyweek were not goin all big race rules or anything its just for fun, so there will be reverse ESC's allowed, 19 turn motors and 6 cells only... so I wanna know what would be the best car for me? I've been thinkin about a few:

- X-Ray T1R Raycer
- XXX-S
- TC3 or TC4
my local hobby shop carries parts for the Losi and Associated but not the X-Ray I just love the quality of the X-Ray cars...

So give me your opinion on which one I should get...

Default what to get

Out of the 3 you have mentioned and parts availability, go with the TC4. I like the XRAY as well but I raced Yokomo.

All 3 cars are good but I would run the one you can get parts for.

I'd recommend the X-ray as a first choice, then the TC3/TC4 and last the Losi.

Since it's for parking lot, I would go with a sealed drivetrain. Or at least an inner body, to prevent rocks in the drivetrain. And as said before, part support is really important.

XXX-S.... I just started racing this past summer (with a Losi) and I have been very happy with it. I haven't driver others, so I can't compare - but as a beginner, the Losi has been great. Parts availability IS a big deal - I haven't broken a lot of parts, but it is nice to be able to walk in the hobby shop and pick up what you need when you need it instead of waiting on mail order.

You might also try to find out what the other guys are going to be running (mostly) - if they have more experience, they can help you learn - that also made my decision for the Losi. If all of you are starting out together, it will be easier for you to compare notes if several of you are running the same car.

All of that said, most of the fast guys at my track are moving to the X-Ray.

Thanks for all the reallies guys... anyway I have ruled out the X-Ray cause of the drivetrain not being sealed and no parts for it... plus its kinda pricy...

I think Im goin with the Losi...

Something to consider though; the Losi si good, but there new car should be out soon and that will make the xxxs obsolete and resale hard. Still good though.
