I wish I had the deep pockets to afford my innovations and racing at the same time, but it is not the case. I will race after completing the mods...
I also got a diggity tc4 shocktower to drill and fit on the rear of my ntc3 to lower the rear shocks from 68.79mm to 63mm or less... I can't race without these innovations guys: that's the only chance I got to get out of the Cmain...lol... Cheers....

Once I get my tc7.1 shock set, I will be getting some much needed tc4.2 practice... They are only a few weeks away...
Hopefully, I will lead for a few laps like your ntc3 did after the aluminum clutchbell/19t pinion mods.....

Then I would assume you never used a good nimh energ4600 with the current crop of 17.5t motors... Also, if you add several of those supercapacitors inline with the nimh , the voltage drop will be almost eliminated, and when you consider that a fully charged nimh can get up to 8.8volts or higher, the lipo might lose the battle at the low amp loads seen in stock racing, as long as the total weight of your car+nimh is 1350grams... Yeah the nimh does not have the crazy 7500mah capacity, but you won't even need 2000mah for a 6minute run...
I would run a energ4600 nimh today if I had one , but they are impossible to find, and my car would need to weigh around 900gram without a battery, which is very hard to achieve in any touring car...
Lipo offers many advantages over nimh like lightweight, more energy density, lower internal resistance, and you can run them all day with no fade, but when both types are operating at their peak with all else being equal, the energ4600 nimh is very competitive .....

I assume you prefer a god ol' carburetor to these new fangled fuelin' jektors in your daily driver as well...?

Man o' man, I have blocked Bert's posts since 2011. He didn't even had 200 posts.
He's a diamond in the rough, if he understanded a tenth of what was truly going on he would be the next Smokey Yunnick (sp). If I wasn't in bad health I would have him under my wing, scrap that, Bert send me a pm with your email going to discuss your future as setup guru.

In 2011, I started using my phone to post , but I was on rctech since 2004 or so on my old windows98 desktop...
I hope you resolve that health issue fast , and go back to the track soon... I always take care of my body first, and I am very skeptical of doctor's opinions: natural remedies are the best !!!
Very nice Car there, but I doubt it can keep up with my tc4.2 .... Cheers...
