Motor fan in 17.5?
Has anyone done any testing with an integy heatsink and fan on a 17.5 motor?
I'm running a Tekin RS with an LRP 17.5. I'm wondering how many degrees am I gaining or losing by running the sink and fan? I'm wanting to try it without the fan and see what the difference is but I'm afraid that if it is making a difference I could burn the motor.

Even running boosted? Do you run the fan so that it pulls air from the motor or pushes air toward the motor? The reason I ask this is because the way I see it, if the car is moving forward, and the fan is behind the motor, how is it going to do anything?

Would you say that air isn't moving under the body at all???

Cool beans. It's looking like rain so I will most likely not be testing any of the different setups I wanted to with the new gearing/boost/turbo setup. Sooo....

I use Speed Passion heatsink with 2 Yeah Racing fans. As a result motor never get hotter then 60 C.

So I got lucky and the rain didn't keep us from racing. Durin practice I ran it with the heatsink first and then pulled the heatsink and used some double sided tape and a small piece of lexan to mount the fan to the chassis right behind the motor. It ran a bunch cooler without the heatsink. I'm running a 6.5 FDR in my TC5 with the boost at 40 and the turbo at max. I'm coming off the track like at like 150-160. So I guess it'll do for now until the sun comes out then ill probably have to gear down.
Anyon else have any ideas on keeping the motor cooler?
