I don't know that it matters much, everyone I know seems to be changing the Xenon gears out of their Cudas. Really seem to be quite loud, which tells me they have produce more friction than Kimbroughs. If the new SD does come with the Xenon gear I will be changing it out immediately anyways.

Just wanted to say Steve @ Speedtech has provided probably the best customer service I have ever experienced in RC. I wish more shops were as helpful...Anyone who hasn't ordered from Speedtech before are missing out. Thanks

I had great results from Steve. To bad UPS wasn't as good as normal. We had a new driver and he delivered my stuff to another business. Steve was very helpful in helping me find my stuff. He went above what he had to do to help me locate my missing package.

civic91- the SD car comes with the dumor gear. I really don't think that the Xenon spur gears were causing the cars to be loud unless the mesh was set incorrectly, the few Barracuda's that I've seen (and heard) were quite loud anyway. I've been using the xenon gears in my cars since last fall and they are very quiet and durable. I believe that Sorex USA has the exclusive import rights to the Xenon gears so I don't think that speedtech would be able to get them unless they get them from Sorex USA.

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for the compliments, I'm just doing what I consider is a part of my job

Matt Howard,

From what we discover with the Barracuda R2, the spur gear makes a HUGE difference on how the car sound. If I put in a RW Spur gear or a Xenon gear, I can hear my car loud and clear on the track, but as soon as I put on a Robinson Racingor a Kimbrough gear, my car is silent, and probably one of the most quiet cars on the track

As for Xenon gears, we'll be getting them through Billy of course, we have a good relationship with Billy for Sorex tires and it's just a plus that we can get more great product from him.

Steve, are you getting new aluminum parts from Square for TB3? I heard the front and rear hub, knuckle, and dog bone can also fit on 414m.

Hi Guys,

We have more Alex Racing Barracuda Hop-ups in stock, including the Speedway PAL drive system, and alloy hop-ups.

Aku-man,

I might be able to get some of those parts

Steve do you have any idea of when or if you will be getting the Integy 16x9 v6 charger? and what are the changes from the older version?
I'm also wondering how heavy the 16x9 charger is, ie. will it cost a silly amount to ship it internationaly, I'll be ordering a few other things with it, like two sets of 3300GP cells, the new versions, an alloy battery strap too

Steve, I see your Evo 3's are sold out. What is the time frame on the next batch? Will the next batch have any improvements/running changes from the previous kits?

Thanks for the info!
