Any of my batteries that are rated at a 2C charge rate are $$$$$$$$$
In the interest of protecting my investment, I never EVER charge at more than 1C....
Most of my qualifiers only take out 2000mAh MAX.... and at 1C (5500mAh batt....5.5A charge rate = 21.5 minutes to full charge) I can have that same battery charged fully by my next qualifier....
by the time the main comes around, as long as I have 1 fully charged battery, I'm good.

I think really depend on which type of racing you do... For my FF03 as I am only running it stock with 13.5T motor. charging at 1 or 2C don't seems to have much different. But my touring as I am running 4.5T now, sometime down to 3.5T if they change the track layout. Using 2C charging seems the car have more punch. I even tried 3C once as it got even more punch. But don't wants to kill the expensive lipo yet. LOL. So I mean if you are really putting a lot of stress on your battery 2C will be better. But if only running stock motor, 1C seems to yield longer battery life without much different in performance.

I charge at 2C, but only because I then can put in more practice runs, and I am too lazy to turn it down at big races, where I can't just put in more runs.
