i would't mind spending 50-90$ if it's a really good one that i can also race mod class with.

If your "new to electric" then don't race mod. I'd run stock until you figure things out then jump to the 19t class or mod.
Now if you are an expert Nitro driver and just switching to electric that's a different story.
If your new to racing in general then a mod is just a waste of money. You'll end up trashing it after just a few runs and have no way to maintain it.
Go to the local track... see what they are running... talk with them... and go from there.

yeah i agree with underdahill if you plan on racing but if you are just playing in the street go with like a 14turn because and 8 will be about as fast as a stock in about 12 runs because the comwears really fast on low turn mods with a 14 you will get a longer lifespan and it will be faster longer.

I also agree with what underdahill mention a while ago.. I guess better stay with the stock motors then when you already master the run of a stock then its time to get the mod one.. Its much faster and great torque then topspeed... Happy racing!!..

1. standard - great for beginners, fast enough to stay with some modified motors in smaller tracks

2. pro - this is the tuned version. for a few $$$ more than the standard, you get better performance

both of these motors are rebuildable so you can keep them in tiptop shape

Aadolf,
unless you have a comm lathe, and a hood alignment tool ,
i would suggest the pro version because it has a trued comm and it has been aligned and broken in. new comms are usually out of round and won't run at their full potential.
if your lhs offers a comm cutting service, either will do, but the price of the pro will most likley be cheaper than the standard with the cutting charge added.

yes marvi i was refering to the monster stock motor i would get the pro. its already broken in. and you'll get a little more speed. My tc3 with the monster stock pro in it goes almost as fast as a 19t
