Have the fan mount (but not the bracket). Trying to figure out how best to do it with the mount. I can shim the mount with two 4mm shims or mount to the top rather than bottom of mount. Still working on it.

As for antenna on the top deck the spektrum antenna is only about 1" high. Trying to see if it's even worth it. Ha ha.

I think a great product idea would by just a straight post for the single hole that a 25mm fan could mount to directly on top of the chassis.

Yeah The DCJs for the photon are peaking my interest. I have been asking around about that and it seems the best option is to use the X-ray C hub and an arrowmax DCJ for the T3. So if you have a simpler option I would be interested.

Got it! I'll work on something. We also have the fan mount base that can be servo taped in the meantime.

There just isn't enough surface space behind the motor for servo tape to hold. The fan kinda flops around on the tape. Suspect the fan mount base would do the same. Would have to move it up to the front of motor.

Hopefully you aren't taking any of this as whining or complaining. I think this thing rocks. Just pointing out observations.

By the way I tested it and the fan fits behind the motor just fine if it were mounted to a straight post in the rear. I fabricated something with a plastic tamiya servo mount to test and it seemed like if properly done it would work really well.

I've tried running ours mounted both ways... motor came off roughly the same temp with the fan over or under the mounting arm. Ended up doing the same thing with the washers underneath the base, ours didn't have to go quite that high though... I'd just run it mounted on top before having it perched that high on one leg.

That's what I will do for now. I think on the chassis will be better long term. Lower weight and less susceptible to damage.

One final observations. There aren't any chassis balance holes. Will see if I can get away with using the center bumper screw and forward/center motor mount screw.

No balance holes.

I did not think they were necessary as the shock towers have holes in the center to balance the chassis. You can either use a string to balance it or you can us two thin wrenches.
