Thumbs up

Just got my fan mount, bladders and pistons today. Gotta say I like black and blue look. More RSD to come! Thanks Christian.

Cristian, I'll be checking the fit of the fan mount on the Photon tomorrow. I'll post back what I find.

The fan mount held up to a full day of racing without coming loose once. I used the Muchmore fan hardwired to my Cirtix and had no issues!

The fan mount worked perfect , running 17.5 blinky i was able to go up 3 teeth on the pinion and temps stayed safe all day . The pistons , bladders and springs preformed flawless ..my car was dialed in today .. You should be seeing more orders for the fan mount from racers up here in the new york, new jersey area , many of the guys i race with were inquiring about where i purchased the mount .. Thanks again for such great products.

Photon chassis has a hole in the right spot. Works fine!

I am glad you guys are enjoying the mount!

We just got back from the Fall Classic at Mike's Hobby Shop, home of the 2012 Carpet Nationals. We had GREAT Results.

In 17.5 Blinky team drivers Sam Hand and Matt Ward finished in 2nd and 4th respectively. Both Sam and Matt matched the fast lap of the class winner for the weekend. Both of them ran a full line of RSD parts on their cars.

In Modified Touring I finished 2nd place behind the USA's best driver Paul Lemieux and in front of XRAY Factory driver Drew Ellis. I was about 2 laps down on Paul, which on this track meant about 18-20 seconds overall. In my defense, I had the slowest car in the class. Lemieux and Ellis would pull me a good 20-30 FT on a 100 ft straight. A faster motor would definitely not have allowed me to beat Paul, but the gap would have probably been cut in half. Drew had a little bit of bad luck in the second qualifier and broke early into the race, which allowed me to take second place in A2, which I then backed up in A3 by running cleanly with a VERY SLOW car (think 17.5 boosted speed) while Drew again met the boards a couple of times. Drew made 2 strong charges, but in the end he just ran out of time and I was able to edge him out by .8 seconds, taking 2nd overall.

The car however was incredible. I really do believe I had a better set-up for the OG Spec tires than what everyone, except Lemieux had (even if my car had been better, the dude is so good, it did not matter, and it could not have been quantifiable :P). I noticed Drew struggled with getting consistent grip all weekend long, while I had a car that had better forward bite and was much easier to drive than his. With my much slower motor, I was only 0.1 seconds away from Drew's fastest lap and about 0.3-0.4 seconds down from Pauly. A respectable motor would have probably allowed me to eclipse Drew's fast lap and cut the distance in lap times to Pauly to about 0.2 tenths, the rest is obviously driving. Beating Drew for me, was totally like having a win in the class for RSD.

Set-up will be up later this week. I have to go through the car and write everything down. This is a VERY good carpet set-up. The car had tons of traction, was very smooth, great forward bit and incredible corner speed.

Out of curiosity do you mount your fan so it is blowing air on the motor or pulling the hot air away? Thanks.

I set it to blow on the motor. Airflow inside will push the air backwards, what you are trying to achieve is cool an area of the motor that never really gets hit with direct air.

Have the fan pull will never be effective enough. Pushing will be way more effective in this case.

Cristian,

I noticed on your web site a link to Reflex racing team packages but there's nothing listed within the link. Will you be offering TC6 package discounts? Also, will you have setup sheet info on your site soon?

Thanks,

Jim

To be honest, round 2 I changed some wiring and accidentally put the fan on backwards..... I wondered why the motor came off at 180! Next round I turned the fan back blowing on the motor, and it finished at 150

I'm anxious to see that 17.5 setup, also!

The set-up will be up soon. Although we were running open Mod, not 17.5. My car was about as fast as a 17.5 boosted poorly in the last main. I was having speedo heat issues and had a motor that was not very fast, even when boosted. Gotta just pick up a 4.0 or 4.5 and just run it in blinky mode.

As for team packages, we don't have anything up yet, but I'll get to working on something like that as soon as we get a re-stock of the block locks.
