It's the former, -1.5mm is representing narrower than maximum possible width, that's very close to the same as the stock XRAY t4 pins.

Like you, 2 dot outside RF and RR results in about 3.5* of toe... and I thought about doing 2 RF / 3 RR to get down to 3* but seeing your chart makes me wonder if I should go w/ that 1.5mm narrower setup and put on the +0.75mm hubs?
I'm currently running 3rf inside and 2 rr inside. This gave me 3 degrees, and the same track width as the stock car.

Thanks.

Stupidly I was reading the chart backwards. That's what happens when you need to sleep and instead want to wrench on your touring car.

Any idea when the next batch of the full RX4 conversion will be available? I saw Andrew's conversion last night at the tracks and it sold me on one!

Should be hopefully by the end of next week. DHL lost our latest batch of chassis, so they are currently tracking them down. Once they come in, we will have some more.

hey Christian,
any eta on the 1pc suspension block spacers and the closed layshaft holders for the rx4?

I've seen the r1 spacers, but didn't know if they would fit.

The Spec R Spacers work well.

The lowered layshaft holders are lost along with the chassis. We hope they find them soon.

Okay, I need parts and they are out of stock... bleh.

Anyway, ran my RX4 yesterday the first time with my "new setup" ... and it was the best handling touring car I ever drove. Too bad I still can't drive.

Here's the gist:

tires: solaris medium (track spec)
shocks: 3 hole 1.1 pistons 350cSt
springs: 2.7 all around (on a bumpy track, 2.9s may be better on a smooth track)
sways: 1.5 front / 1.3 rear
front camber links: middle hole, 2mm shim -- 1mm on caster block
rear camber links: middle hole, 0.5mm -- 4mm/inside on hub
caster blocks: 6 degree
diffs: spool front / 2k rear
front inserts: 1 dot out ff and fr (stock)
rear inserts: 3 inside rf and 2 inside rr (results in 3* of rear toe)
front toe: 0*

I had the opportunity to drive the rx4 a few months back at the rsd grabs opening race and was very impressed by it.

Hey all,
the Top Gun race here in Union City, California just concluded. This was my first race with the RX4 and it didn't disappoint. The car generated more corner speed than I had ever felt with the stock T4 '13, without a doubt. I'll put a setup sheet together and post later tonight or tomorrow.
Great work, Cristian.

Second place for me behind EJ Evans who drove very well this weekend, flawless in fact. Lex Tyler made a really nice showing in third.

Cya at the Speedtech GCR next weekend.

What springs would you recommend for low grip carpet.

I was running on a track where the bake kept trying to break away mid corner.

This was the last final, the best it had been all day, but you can still see the rear twitching. Tyre wear was non existent. I could do with better steering, but until I get the rear planted it's of no use;

Try going with pink rear orange front. This is what I have been running on our track with good results. The stiffer springs generate more heat in the tires and keeps the car flatter and more stable.

Setup sheet

The car really was amazing. NorCal is interesting because in the morning the traction can be a bit low until about 11am when it climbs to mid grip, drops a bit if the temps get above 85F, and then goes way up around 6PM (happy hour). The setup above had a nice balance throughout the day, only minor camber changes were necessary throughout the day.
