Barry, you should be ok with the regular TC6 parts. The set-ups don't really change much. There is a slight geometry revision in the rear arms to the 6.1, but nothing that will make the car work completely different.
The set-ups from the TC6 to RSD6 are sightly different. The RSD6 has a bit more of a rear ward weight bias so this allows you to run the same oil and spring F/R more often than with the TC6. There are a ton of set-ups on our website. Anyone of them would be a good starting point. Just look for one that matches your track conditions.

RSD059 RSD 15.0lb Spring (Pink)
The RSD Pink spring is similar to the Yokomo Pink. It has the same spring rate and was developed to be used in carpet set-ups in the front end of your TC.
RSD058 RSD 17.0lb Spring (Orange)
The RSD Orange Spring was developed to be used on high grip asphalt settings. This spring is slightly stiffer than the RSD purple for when the purples are too "stuck"
RSD057 RSD6 Aluminum Floating Servo Mount
Made from 6061 Aluminum, this servo mount comes in at only 7 grams. While the RSD6 already came with a carbon fiber floating servo mount, the servo was prone to rotating in heavy collisions. This aluminum servo mount fixes the issue and makes the installation of a servo a breeze. Another plus is that you can now play with your servo position forward/back +-3mm as the servo position is moved back 3mm from the regular RSD6.
All items now available and shipping.

Does the floating mount work on the stock TC6.1? Any modifications needed to the steering parts?

I don't think the Yokomo would be a go. Our holes are off-set due to the hole pattern on our chasisis. I think that you would be able to make it fit if you happen to drill a hole into the chassis, however it might overlap a hole. Not sure though, have not even thought about it.
One thing to note is that on some short servos that are thicker, shims are required to be used to space up the servo slightly off the bottom deck. We made it this way because we did not want to have people with the thinner servos have their servos 2mm off of the bottom deck.
