Hey Guy's, I think we owe JDM a little something for all his help on this thread. Alot of us don't know enough about the Barracuda to offer much but what we can do is keep this thread from getting buried. If you see it falling to the bottom of the page...bump it back up to the top. When Dave returns....he'll be able to jump right back in. Good Luck Dave.
yes i did a quick one(5min) and it does free the drivetrain....will do a 3hr intensive work on it when i have the time....by the way did not do anything on the 16t as i have no spares just in case i screw up....39t i have a few so screwing up is not a problem...anymore tips&trick for the drivetrain???
and if it's not a problem would you be able to get hold of the 12th scale for me once it's out ??
P.S- remember to tell your buddy to do it on his when i sent his out
Ian: I did cut edges of those 16T little gears and I tested them last night. They really free the drivetrain a little bit and now my Cuda is more quiet than before!
Dear all, I finally had time to test my Cuda with TRF dampers that I installed meanwhile. Unluckily, they seem not to match with Cuda very well as the front dampers always found to have too 'soft' damping: the car hops around widely when both accelerate/decelerate... My front dampers are now two holes/Yokomo #500 oil... I'm really thinking of going to one hole(?) or use thicker oil... But it's really a next trial then...
Yep Ryota's Car was Fast as Hell this year. Saw that thing in action... but that Barracuda has lots of changes to it... Chassis is made by EXCEL... and the steering Ackerman was modified.. I couldn't belive how much that thing was on Rails!!
