The instructions say to use 5 balls on the CE4...however, I found that you can easily use 6 balls instead.

The manual doens't mention droop screw settings though A-arms have holes for droop screws.
I guess they decided not to include it in the production phase. Maybe due to the cost of production or something.
Now I have to find the right sized screws.
DTM - Yah, I thought that to myself too. It had more room for even 2 more thrust balls. I wonder why the kit includes 3 extra thrus balls. I'll just put 1 or 2 more and rebuild it. Maybe it'll help with smooth diff operation and from breakage.

dtm: Have you or anyone you know that owns a CE4 had a similar or the same type of problem that I described below? At this point I am just assuming I should replace the diff balls and thrust balls and washers all together! Any info/help is appreciated.

If you do want to change things, then I have found that the diff plates off the Kawada SV10 is a perfect fit. And the Thrust bearing and spring off the Yokomo MR4 works great too. Although I don't know how available they are at your neck of the woods!!

The problem I heard about was that people could not get a 'smooth' diff action....not NO diff action!!

early next week I will buy one of these cars. Are there option parts I shou;d get? If so what are they and does control centre have the parts. Front one way, aluminum shaft supports. just looking to bulletproof the car. Looks like diff gears and shaft drive gears at a minimum though...haha

Barracuda comes with front one way, dust cover for diff.
Aluminum shock body. (not threaded)
They look like Yokomo shocks, maybe interchangable and also the body mount.
I saw following hop up parts (mostly made by PAL) but I haven't found a dealer yet. If you find one, please let us know.
- aluminum shaft support
- torque rod
- aluminum body mount
- aluminum transponder/servo mount
- aluminum battery holder
- shock quick screw
- aluminum spring holder
To build it you need associated black grease, stealth diff grease, shock oil, right size hex wrenches other than neccessary tools and equipments.

The guy who wrote the manual must've been pretty shy.
Not much descriptions or procedures. But the pictures are pretty descriptive themselves though.
The picture of diff balls and thrust balls in the parts list are wrong in the manual.
Diff balls were the bigger ones.
Then I don't understand why the manual says to put only 5 thrust balls when there's so much room for more balls.
There're 3 extra thrust balls left, so I'll just put some more in it when I rebuild it.
For now diff's working ok. It feels a little looser (or smoother?) than TC3 diff though.
But I need to test it at the track to be sure.
Also it was a bit hard to keep the keyed diff rings to stay while building it.
Overall production quality of parts are pretty impressive. Very accurate. The driving and steering system is very tight right now as a result. I may need to break it in then rebuild it.
Nontherless when I tried the car in the room, it was surprisingly quick.
But I don't like the soft plastics used for knuckle arms, hub carriers.
I'll put some pics on this weekend before I crash the car into thousand pieces.
