Hermi,

Try putting the spur gear on the other side like so:

http://www.alexracingusa.com/images/Input2.JPG

after I did that, I get full contact with my pinion gear. When the PAL motor mount comes, I will have to see how the alignment is. If anything, we carry long shank pinion gears.

Thats what I've done now, and what I was trying to tell Dave, might give the screw clearance problem. I don't want to have to buy a load of new pinions, when the parcel you sent arrives I'll have 19-32 tooth pinions all covered, mostly titanium ones too

I used 72 on Monday, the kit spur, and with my GM3 I ended up with a 23 tooth pinion, the motor got a little hotter than I would normaly run but boy was the car fast
Now I have a 74 spur in, since the 72 has more like 70 teeth and half of those left are kind half teeth too I'll probably use 74/23 from now on with my GM3 indoors, possibly 72/22 aswell, when my parcel from Steve arrives with the 22 and 21 tooth titanium pinions

Its so funny to see you guys that use 27T motors run such Big spurs and small pinions.... with the 23T stockers that I run ...I run 69T Spurs and 30~32T pinions with ratio's from 6.0~5.2

I belive a 110~114T would be the bigest that I would want to try....But you might not want to run 64P without the PAL shaft holder....you might eat one up really fast! I would wait untill Steve gets the new PAL Shaft Holder/Motor mount it and then Run 64P

JDM: Hmmm.... should 101T be the largest acceptable 64-pitch spur gear? As 101T nearly goes out of the chasis! 110-114T will scratch the ground already!

Okay just about got the car ready to go. The problem I am having is the turnbuckles for the front and the rear camber links hit the shock caps ever so slightly. It almost seems as though the shocks should be mounted on opposite side of what the pictures in the instructions show. That or I did somthing wrong but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas?

Thanks
Matt

Got the spacer in there, looking back at the posts and pictures of the R2 it looks like the turnbuckles are right next to the shock caps maybe even touching..On the R1 it looks like the shocks are mounted on opposite side of the shock tower with no chance of interfernce...Hmmm
