Default roar nats 21.5 class

InROAR NATS 21.5 class what gearing worked best. Been running vta for a long time and I'm just curious.
Our lap times in our area between 17.5 spec and vta (5.2 fdr) r about 1sec difference on a track 50 x100 carpet.

I was running around 3.27 to 3.3 fdr in my Corally w/ Novak Ballistic and tekin esc. I played around w/ a trinity d3 but never really got time to dial in the gearing so I went back to my Novak after they(ROAR) decided to let my Novak pass through tech.

I ran a 3.45 with the ballistic. I didn't play with gearing, probably a better one then this. I believe your tires are a different size so its not going to be the same "rollout"

I ask cause I run a 5.2 fdr with a grb, the timing "warped" lol and its mad fast everywhere with vta tires. I would think with TC trim it would be that much better. others have tried running similar timing with over heated motors ( diff speed tho) . If we r running 11 sec laps with 17.5 I'm running 13.2 sec laps with vta trim. And there r a few big race A main guys running in 17.5. So makes me think there was some speed left on the table possibly at the nats. Wish I could have been there. My 5.2 vta car is faster that a vta car with a 4.2 in every part of the track by .3 a lap . It just makes me wonder, u know

That's referring to esc isn't it. I'm just dialing in motor timing
