I need some serious help with this ESC, or else I am going to move to something else. the ESC is awesome in my TC, however in the 1/12 scale I can't seem to get it to work well!
Running 930 Stock, and it seems to just make my motor run extremely hot! I am running a D3 17.5, 82mm rollout!
I have tried everything, and need some help from someone please!!!!

I just tried the Hobbywing this last weekend for the first time. I used almost stock settings to win the 10.5 1/12th Superstock class at the WCICS series race in Victoria BC. A race that saw 200 entries and a very competitive field.
I am very impressed with the speed control and look forward to doing more testing with it.

guys,
really NEED HELP of best ESC setting for my setup below, to reduce temperature but maintain performance.
ESC: hobbywing XERUN 60a extreme
motor: team power 10.5t plutonium
ratio: 7.25
my track has 60m straight and return in technical in-field.
current esc setting
Punch: 9
Neutral range 6
Start rpm 3000
Boost 40
Turbo 24
Turbo slope 18
Turbo delay 0.1
Timing acc 350
running in 5 minutes time around 80degC playing at night (ambient 24-27dC)
thanks in advance

currently at zero timing (motor end-bell) .
i've heard this TP plutonium, have a lot of torque, but less RPM, making it hot when running more RPM (more ratio - smaller pinion).
i'll try with 6.94 ratio, as i'm using 48pitch. (spur 84, pinion 23)
thanks a lot bro

Hello everyone !
I'm new to HW ESCs. I have a v2.1 120 amperes unit. I have the 930 firmware installed and the program box has been updated by a local geeky guru so I'm absolutely sure it's the latest.
What I lack is a process on how to setup the ESC, i.e. in what order to change the parameters. I have the basic understanding of what every parameter does, and of how brushless motors and dynamic timing works, but since every parameter affect each other i just don't know where to start.
I plan to use the speedo on a quite small indoor high-grip track (13.5 orion, TC) and I need your help so that I can have a productive day of testing. I amnot asking for a fit and forget setup and I am willing to fiddle with the settings, but as of now I'm just lost.
I have started with a 5 fdr , then lowered it to 6 ish, but went back to 5,6 and the car got faster. Now what ? where do I start ?
I have been told not to mess with the turbo since the track is so tiny, and just to use boost to achieve the performance I need.
So far my settings are :
4: DRRS : 4
9: Boost timing : 20
10: turbo slope : 18
12: turbo timing : 0
13:start rpm :5000
14: turbo delay : 0.3
15. timing acc : 300
fdr : 5.6, temps are moderate
Currently the car seems to accelerate too slowly, not reaching full speed before the end of the straight. Gearing lower seems to kill bottom end more than improve the problem ( !!!!)
It is my understanding that since the turbo ( parameter#12) is set to zero, the turbo is disabled, rendering #10 and #14 uneffective. Am I right ?
anyway, if someone could help me, not just suggest me settings but explain what to do and why, that would be great.
Thanks !
M.

I must add that i read the last 20 pages of the supercharger thread , and the whole of this thread here, so I really tried to figure it out by myself before crying for help...

Also, I didnt notice WHICH motor you are running, and how much mechanical timing you have on the motor.
If your temps are low, then I would add more boost to the equation. In theory, you will always want to use the most amount of ESC timing available. Right now you are only using 20 steps of the possible 64. So, bring that Boost up in steps of 10 and watch the temps. I like to keep my motors around 140, but it wont hurt them to go 180F.
If you notice your motor getting hot, then either remove some mechanical timing from your motor, or reduce your roll out (smaller pinion).
Hope that gets you started. I am currently swamped for time, so If I dont respond in a day or so, then send me a Pm.
Cheers,
Shawn.

Hello guys!
I'm new to Pro Stock 10,5T racing so I'd like some tips on how to set it up. The ESC is a Xerun 60A and it's used, I have no idea which firmware is on it so I'd like to set it up from the beginning. I'd like to have good brakes on it aswell since I hear it used to be a problem on older versions of these ESCs
Here is my info:
Car: Xray T3 2012
ESC: Xerun 60A
Motor: Nosram Pure Spec Evolution 10,5T
Batteries: LRP 5300 mAh 30C / CS Electronic 5400 mAh 50C
FDR is 6,65 since the track is very large and fast, is it too high for the motor temperature? I'd like my motor to run at about 90 degrees Celsius; I have a good heat sink and a turbo fan.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Denis

As per my post in the Hobbywing software thread, in case someone knows on here.....
Could someone tell me how I upload the V1.64 firmware file .rar to the programming box once I've downloaded it to my computer? Im not very computer literate and have no idea how to do this?
Ive opened the software gone to HELP>UPDATE and it says "update is unecessary! It is already the latest version"
HElp??
