Ah I see whats wrong. On the 16 we mount the servo the other way round so the turnbuckle is super short. That clears the cockpit and it wouldnt hit the body. Mounting the servo the way as they instructed would allow for a longer turnbuckle and easier adjustment, but would interfere with the body.
Im not sure why they would do that....are you running the long wheelbase or short wheelbase? Running the short wheelbase pushes the front end back could result the steering interfering with the body as well

I have the 17, no such issue, can you send a better picture if the problem has not been resolved.

A friend of mine made a piece out of nylon that replaced the two tubes that attach the aluminum blocks for the rear axle. Allowed him to use any kind of rear wing (aside from the WRC). I've always wondered if the Tamiya piece would work. (Bottom-left plastic piece in the pic in the link).
