Xenon Pinions

if you are looking in the 66-70 range, i really hope you can drop your spur gear size. even if you are looking for 3.0 final drive, 78/51 gets you there in a TC with 2.0 transmission although I believe that is about the smallest spur gear i have seen lately.

speedtechrc.com special order maybe? he only goes up to 52 it looks like but he seems to be able to get stock unlike most. i to like xenon but prs pinions are pretty good as well although I can't think of anywhere to get them that large either.

PRS is all I've used in the past, but the largest they make is 65. This is going in a dirt late model using a 2.60 transmission. Trying to get close to a 3.0 rollout and still have some gear left to add when the tires get smaller. I never would have imagined that we'd be running a 72 tooth spur with anything large than the 65 pinion, but we are! LOL!

Thanks for the help! I sent Speedtech an email last night.

You can buy direct from xenon

I'd like to find them somewhere in the U.S.
Still waiting to hear back from Speedtech. I've never dealt with them. Can someone say how they are to buy from?
Xenon make a 60T spur too so you can go with smaller pinions. But than again Speedtech probably doesn't have that 1 either .

you may try bruce at speedmerchant. he speaks to xenon quite a bit.
Hi Scarecrow,
I got an e-mail from Teru (Xenon) saying he was alright. I know they're doing voluntary black outs right now to conserve energy. It's a very sad situation. Hopefully, things start to look better soon.
The Japanese people should be very proud of how well they've handled themselves.
Take care.-Bruce

I got a Xenon spur in my goodie bag at the IIC last year and have been interested in them ever since. I believe this was a 100t 74p spur but what really interests me is the large number of diff ball holes is has on the outer ring. Looking at the pic on Speedtechrc's web site the smaller spurs seem to have only 8 diff ball holes like the Robinson ones I have. I was wondering how far down under the 100t spur do they keep a high number of diff balls?

Xenon makes down to 75t with 16 balls on the outside.
