Crispy, I do pretty good with two ride height gauges on each side of the chassis. I set rideheight first, then rest the chassis higher at the desired maximum height and screw the droop screws on each side while turning the tires slightly to feel when they start to lose traction. Lastly I try my best to match the friction of the tires on both side to keep the droop as close as possible on both sides. After that, I repeat the same process at the other end of the car.....
I also run a max droop of 2mm over rideheight.....

Here's an option. The TC4 club racer kit sells for about $150 new. Clean TC3 rollers easily fetch close to $100 here or on the 'bay. You'd could be into a new kit for about $50! Pop in the lower priced Novak ESC/motor combo and you're still under $200.
This guy has been trying to sell a Novak 25.5 SS system. He's down to $85 for motor and ESC. - http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...-ss-combo.html

I decided to go for it and build up my TC3, it's going to be the best option for this budget build.

I picked up a Ballistic 25.5 from here at a great price myself.

Yeah ballistic 25.5 is what I really want but for now just to get running the SS Pro 25.5 will do.

I know this is a TC4 thread but they are similar enough I think.
So I decided to tear down the ole TC3 tonight rather than Tuesday night. Spent about 3.5 hours going through the whole thing front to rear. All in all not too bad. 4 shot wheel bearings, 1 shot stub axle, stripped lower steering knuckle on the right front, and bent king pin on the left front.
Tuesday I'll need to pick up some cva's, pair of stub axles, 4 wheel bearings, and a screw for the servo. That's just to get it into top notch roller condition.

There is also a thread on this message board at http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...tc3-forum.html which might be a better place to get specific about your car. It is one of the oldest and longest threads with nearly 12,000 posts since 2001 and still going strong.
I have read a lot of this thread and im thinking about picking up a TC4. I havent seen many people running different turn motors than 17.5. I am not going to race just play around in parking lots and the dead end street I live on. I have an available 8.5 turn lrp motor and was wondering if this is an ok option for this car on asphalt and rubber tires?

What did you have to do to install the Cam style mount?
