Default Kyosho Fazer Mk2- Front Differential not working

Hi all,

I need some advice on what might be the problem with my kyosho Fazer mk2. The front diff is not spinning because the gear attached to the drive shaft keeps jumping out from the pin that holds it there, creating a loose contact with the diff. It is like the drive shaft needs to be longer to create a proper contact with the diff. So far I have:

1. Inspected both front and rear drive shaft ends , checking for proper build.
2. Checked drive shaft connections to front and rear diffs and re- greased diffs.
3. Adjusted the grommet on front diff case, thinking that this grommet helps keep the diff in place, creating better contact with drive shaft.
4. Checked for cracks that may compromise the drive shaft/ diff connection.

Nothing has worked. My conclusion is that the car may have a bent chassie/ from being left in the sun in a (hot) car, elongating the distance the drive shaft has to span, and therefore the driveshafts connection with the diff at the front may be compromised. Or, hitting racing curbs with the front end, bending the chassis under the point where the drive shaft and diff connect.

Could either be possible? Anyone had similar experiences with cars with drive shafts.

Cheers.

Did this issue start right out of the box, or did you drive it for a bit?

Thanks for the response. I had driven it.

I think I've solved it. I bought shims to put just behind the center shaft pinion, between it and the bearing. This has taken up the slack. Cheers
