I tried screwing the fan onto the heatsink at the fins the lazy way, just trying to self tap a 4/40 screw in there. I think it may work with a drill bit and some coarser screws.

The durability of that is debatale though.

So, this is what I found. Deciding between the third item on the list or the 2nd item and upgrade the fan to a Tornado.

Wow that's perfect! Pair it with a Tornado fan and good to go?

Pardon the post, but I have a club racer NIB I bought as well as the DC4 conversion with the narrow chassis with intentions to build a "unicorn" project car. If anyone is interested in the kit, conversion or a combo please PM me.

Justwill, I just got my DCV's in today and started working with them. How far into the out drives did the bones go into? Mine are just barely getting in there with 1 degree of camber. Also, did you not need TC6 wheel hexes? The width of the axle is quite a bit thinner than the tc4 one so it won't clamp down and just wobble about. Not going to run the car like that for now as the front wheels are wobbling a bit on the bench even after tightening down the wheel nuts.

Here's a pic of it installed:

Not sure I could shim this out enough to get it in there as its shimmed on the inside bearing (between the bearing and axle stub) already to remove axle slop.

The drive is out a lightened steel diff.

I'm also missing the center crush tube that comes in tomorrow so that could change my clearances a bit but not by much I bet.

I did the same thing and forgot to order the crush tubes.

I measured the stock hex and it was 5mm so I ordered the stock TC7 hex.

Hopefully I'll get everything installed and sorted out for the next points race this Sunday.

Great. I'll get to ordering some tc7 hexes. Offset should be good I hope.

TC6 VCS3 shocks built and mounted. Did 50 weight with gold springs front and 45 weight with blue springs rear. Tomorrow I do ball cups, turturnbuckles and turturnbuckle ends to replace the worn and heavy stocks and put the crush tube inside the steering blocks.

After that it's just tweak, ride height, droop and alignment adjustments and off to a test this weekend!
