I'm sorry to hear about the problems people are having. My kit went together nicely. I had a couple ball studs that needed a little work, but that's it.

On the track: I was able to get in some test runs at the new track in Hesperia on Saturday and I have to say, the car was DIALED. Considering the cost, it was very impressive. I ran it with just one tweak from the kit setup too. This Sunday will be the first real test in competition though. Then I'll really see how good it is.

Keep you posted

Dave,

I see the evoIV is gone from your signature. Did you get rid of it?
I was going to get one for a shaft car but decided to try the tc4 first. Now i am kind glad i didn't. Seems a lot of people are jumping off the evoIV boat.

Well, my first outing with the TC4 was great after I got all the "push" out of it.......until I broke a front arm due to the narrow bumper......really only from running a tight line and rubbing the corner.

Enter the TC3 for round 3 and the Main.........the TC3 was 2 tenths a lap faster than the TC4 still, and I thought the 4 was running better. It was only when I made the switch back that it was apparent. Felt better in every way

I was running a 2 mag Binary Handout in both cars......swapped motor from the TC4 back to the TC3 when it broke. All the electonics are identical in both cars too.

Im not a very experienced racer but I have a TC3FT. After all the hype, the poor results at the worlds and issues ive seen on this thread I hardly think the TC4 is really that much better than the TC3. Different doesnt mean better. It seems if the TC3 has all the mods like moving the battery closer to center,,ect it as good as a stock TC4 which seem more like a refinement of issues that a true improvement. Ill be holding on for a while longer to the TC3. Barry and the crew are going to have to work hard to convince me, and im sure many others, other wise..

Why is it when ever a new car comes out there is more negativity then good? When the PRO4 came out negativity when the TC3 came out a lone time a go more negativity. If I remeber right it was nick named need three more parts car. Due to being fragile. Then with a little work from the team it turned out to be one of the best TCs ever. Give AE a chance to take care of everything before unleashing.

As far as problems, I had alot more with my PRO4. Chassis tweaked, screw holes not counter sunk deep enough, poor quality screws, bad gears, etc... But look they fixed it and made it right with everyone that bought one. Just be patient AE is doing what they can to fix the problems.

Got my TC4 built, ready to run this weekend. My lhs gave me new gears to run until mine arrive from AE. Remeber support your lhs. If you have one. No major problems with mine. A little bit of play not bad though.

Got to stop comparing it to my Xray EVO2.

Just my 2cents

Later,

I'm not saying the car is bad at all, just that my TC3 is still faster at the moment.....as soon as I have it where I want it, it will take over as my main car. Being 2 tenths off for its 1st race ever is very good actually.
