Default front bumper..

what exactly was the front bumper mod????

I know it is posted way back in the thread, but what was it?

-was it to get the RPM NTC3 front bumper kit and it "bolts right on" (both pieces)

-or was it totally something different....

Can anyone tell me if the turnbuckle lengths of TC4 are the same as the TC3?

Also i read somewhere back that the stock plastic outdrives werent up to modified racing? is this true?

I saw one in action last night at the Local Track and they guy had a huge Crash!!!! Cartwheels and about 3 feet of Air .. came of the run with only a bent rear body post and a broken wheel.. Man I thought that it was going to be one of those 30$ plus crashes But it held up pretty good... and that track has some "wonderful" wood boards that don"t give at all

Tomlau:

TC4 Turnbuckle lengths are withing a few mm's of the TC3 so you can use your FT TC3 turnbuckles.

I only had to correct the alignment a couple of degrees everywhere for camber and toe.

Take the time to reposition all of them to adjust the same way one way so you won't have to guess at each one.

Has anyone found a solution to eliminating all the slop out of the steering?

I still have almost 2 degrees of toe play after tightening everything again. TC3 rack was a lot less sloppy.

Weighed in under 1490g race ready.

I was able to get rid of some of the Play in the Rack it self.. by using some Metric shims from Yokomo.. I belive that they were .3mm and I used them between the upper plate and lower arms but I have yet to get rid of a small amount in the A-arms... but it seems normal .. not to much of a issue yet..... because I will e running the car for the 1st time in about 6 hours...so I"m sure it will get loose a bit.. but I"ll just re-shim

Yes, I believe I used some Alex Racing shims in my steering setup. Before I noticed some play.. so I just tossed on some shims. There's still alittle slop. But I believe most of it now is in the ball cups.

The suspension has some slop as well. But I think the optional aluminium suspension blocks should take care of that.

Yes it's the nitro TC-3 bumper system, i just pulled mine straight off the gas car & stuck it on the TC-4. what you need is the RPM NTC-3 plastic bumper, NTC-3 rubber grommets, and the NTC-3 foam bumper, & if you want added security use the NTC-3 screws there slightly longer.
