It is a good shock upgrade, and don't use the foam... Build them with 1/4 rebound or less, and use green slime on all sealing surfaces from top to bottom... Good luck...

Thanks but curious, why don't use the foams? What do they do or don't do?
They help push the bladder back to its position, but some foam loose their shape more then others, resulting in inconsistencies, and too much rebound... No foam is more consistent, and eliminates one more piece that might fail... At least that's my opinion....

FT VCS2 Shock Upgrade Kit Part #: 31123
Anyone install this upgrade kit and how do you like it? Do you use the foams? My used FTTC4 has the VCS2 aluminum shocks, but with the foam bobbin & plastic caps. Two shocks leak from the caps and I want to eliminate that by using aluminum caps. And prefer a bladder top instead of the round top you half fill with shock oil. Plus I never liked the idea of the foam bobbin in there. Thought I'd try this upgrade kit out, Average Joe on youtube liked it, but got 3 aluminum caps that wouldn't thread on!! Quality Control issue.

Sounds good guys, no foam it is. I have some spec-r shocks i built with no foams but with their bladders, and they work great. I'm used to that feel and performance so makes sense not to foam.
I have the Yokomo version of those caps on my TC4, I also drill a 1mm hole in the black plastic top, stops the air from being trapped in behind the bladder and gives less rebound.
Has anyone mad a replacement to the LOSA3344 double jointed drive shafts? I'm looking to run VTA with my TC4.

Will, I ran a spool for a few months on asphalt and 21.5T and didn't break the stock plastic drive shafts. Switched from a spool up front to a diff, another 7 months and all the plastic drive shafts are fine.
The axel from a Nitro TC3 is steel and very durable if you need it.

With the axles that RotorTruck listed (ASC2402), you can mount SC10 hexes and run 200mm wide with 0 offset 24mm wheels for USGT.
I plan on running my TC4 in USVTA. Plan on racing against the $900 Awesomatix VTA cars......lol. Any recommendations on what to do or what not to do.

Go to Associated's site and look for Myron Kinnard's setup for the Halloween Classic (I believe that's the one).
