I think that the TC4 would get my nod because of parts support. Regarding the drive options, the one way provides best steering but at the cost of braking (has rear braking only). The front diff provides 2nd best steering, but I've broken one before (??!!) and it could make handling inconsistent. I like the spool. You have to drive it somewhat differently, but it puts power down without bias to one side or another (through "diffing-out).

I have one of my TC4's set up as a VTA car and I am having a horrible traction roll issue with it. Once it gets warmed up it will traction roll if I steer too hard. I have the setup matching the one for VTA on the associated site. One of the guys at the track suggested that I put a 1/8th in wide coating of super glue around the outside edge of the tires. Anyone heard of doing this?

That guy is 100% correct.... You will also need to trim the superglue down with a file to control how much traction you get....The quality of the superglue also counts: proline glue works well....

I have a friend offering me some nice alloy TC3 swing shafts ( dog bones & threaded axles complete ). Will they fit directly on my TC4 ??? Thanks in advance for the expert advice.

I have a few 200mm bodies and my TC4 is in USGT trim at present. My plan was to widen the track of the car with SC10 hexes and ASC2402 CVs so the tires will be closer to 200mm than 190mm. Opinions on what this will do to how it handling?

Why not use wheel spacers and/or offset rims? Between these two inexpensive methods you should be able to make things look alright. The wider stance should not have much effect on handling if any.

The longer CVDs will likely not work as the distance from the diff outdrives to the C-hubs and rear carriers won't change.

Im guessing your trying to run spec tires? I don't believe the cvds are interchangeable between the nitro and electric car as the arms are different lengths and the nitro car has a pillowball style suspension. there are a few companies that make wide offset hexes if you've got enough axle you can run a 6mm hex and get out to 200mm

Done that a few weeks ago. Noticed a BIGGER change to the better changing to shorter link ballstuds.

Had a low $$$ out lay cause I had the parts from years ago. IF I had not had the axle parts I wouldn't have done the change.

That's very similar to what I had planned, TMail55.

Here is the ASC 2402 axle:

I'm using the same hubs that you have in your article, but mine are blue. :-)

Mopar SRT is the one who told me about this "fix".

That is one of the things about this hobby, ideas are not unique to one person.

But a person can provide creditability to another's idea.

I am having trouble with a FT TC4. The front diff pinion gear has an axle style pin that the cup for the center driveshaft sits in. I can't find a replacement and am having trouble figuring out what item to search for as I don't have the manual for the car and the one I found on the associated page seems to have a broken pdf for the expanded parts diagram of the complete car.

I've tried cutting proper sized body clips to fit but they shear within seconds of driving and it's back to a rwd monster, ha!
