No, motor is still rear as usual but he's made custom arms to mount C-Hubs and Knuckles from the front end.
This allows infinite Toe adjustments and Active 'rear steering' as the suspension travels through it's stroke.

Xray T-15 is stock with same setup.

I don't know if the Xray ARS system is going to be a gimmick or a real tuning option, but Jeff's work is COOL!!! I want some for the geek factor, if nothing else!!

I think I know the answer. Do you run the gearboxes dry? I'm running 21.5 and 25.5 turns.

Do you treat the bearings with any fluid?

I have 2 TC4's with factory team shocks and they both have plastic adjustment rings that are really hard to turn and nearly impossible to get back on if you take them off. I went and pulled out my TC3 the other day and found that it has aluminum adjustment rings on the shocks. All the factory team shocks I am finding online for the TC3 and TC4 have the plastic rings. Anyone know where to get the aluminum ones?

Yes you are right. I checked the Associated website parts for the TC4 and found these

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRVB5&P=7

I don't know if they will fit the shock bodies he has or not

Looks like the ones you guys linked are for the TC5 and TC6. Not sure if they will fit the TC4 shocks or not.

The FT #3962 shocks are listed as shocks for the TC4 and TC5.

I just wanted to say, for anyone that might doubt it, that the TC4 tub car CAN BE A WINNER in USVTA. I have a tub TC4 with a Novak Edge 2S and the BOSS motor. Ran a McAllister Firebird body. TEAM EAM 5000mah battery with Futaba 4PL radio with an inexpensive Hitec servo. Ran at The Rug at King R/C in King, NC yesterday and finished 2nd by less than 1/4 of a second to a sponsored driver who was driving an Xray 2014.
My car does have threaded body shocks and ran Darkside's setup from the 2013 Southern Nats as found on the Team Associated site.
I have two TC6.2s waiting for me to pull the electronics out of my TC4s and install them in the new chassis. The way mine is performing, I can't bring myself to do it!!

So ive slowly been digging thru the thread and i mightbe to the point of starting to build my tc3/4 into a VTA car.

Ive seen some discussion about chassis and 3 vs 4 chassis.

Is there an advantage?

what mods can be done to the tc4 chassis?

On med bite track, which of these combos works best?
1way, solid, or diff. ?
