You must have some drag on the left. Either a bearing in the front or rear is sticking or a tire is rubbing something. Time to take every bearing out of the drivetrain and clean and check them Any that make noise or feel rough chuck and replace.

avidrc.com provides some nice bearing at a cheap price

Cheers

I can change the front shock oil from 40 to 35 to soften the front. That should work with silver AE springs right ?

Ive checked and oiled or greased all wheel bearings and both rear diff side bearings but havent opened up the front spool or its bearings.

Anyways... changing to a front ball diff...... not a bad idea ???????

Alright guys I pulled the trigger on the tc4 club racer. Should I upgrade anything? I'll be running 17.5

I used to race a tc4 when it first came out years ago. Got out of the hobby for many years then got into running offroad. I got the tc4 for occasional carpet and parking lot racing, just having fun.

If you're looking for more steering here are a few things to try: Tip front shocks in, stand rear shocks up, heavier rear sway bar, lighter front sway bar. Try one at a time and see what you like and if its not a good change put it back.

The front ball diff will add TONS of steering from the middle of the corner to the exit and will probably be pretty hard to drive without some other changes to go with it.

This is a vta car right? If so start your camber at 1 degree front and back.

From my experience, a set of aluminum or steel (NTC3 ones work) front drive shafts and the VCS2 shock upgrade. A set of swaybars may also help.

Tower used to have them but I can't find them there anymore. May have to go to ebay.

Found some at a shop here in Canada, thanks though.
Also ordered up a Diggity chassis today, apparently the 4 he has left come with a new narrower deck.

Looking forward to trying the new setup when it arrives, need to shave off some time to catch the 'new' cars on track.

I know... I was all like "SOLD!"... Is there any set up sheets for this car besides the ones on petitrc.com. Preferably asphalt set ups.

Onroad newb here looking to make my VTA maiden voyage on an asphalt track with a long(ish) straightaway--25.5 motor.

Reading through the thread it sounds like a 4 FDR is a good starting point. To reach that with the 72 stock spur I'm looking at a 45t pinion, which sounds ginormous to me.

I'm hoping to get away from the math and test the car, but I need some ballpark 48p pinion recommendations (the biggest I have is a 28t).
