Which hole on the steering block do you run guys the link at? I think the car needs more ackerman.

I put them on the inside hole to strengthen the ballcups. I don't worry about Ackerman at all...

I run my links on the outside Hole.I feel that it gives me a more linear feel to the steering

Outside as well. My servo is super fast running on the outside seemed to make it a little less twitchy. On a side note I ran some practice laps last night to break in some new tires and my car in 17.5 blinky setup was a tenth off last weeks amain winners pace. He runs an Xray

You mean a tenth faster..... Just gear one tooth higher on the pinion, and you'll kill that Xray....ok.... Report back when you beat him.... Tc4 cars are never second best..... Post a picture of your car, and I am sure you left off a ton of BERT upgrades that can make you a second per lap faster....lol....

His car out handles mine thru the tracks chicane I am faster speed wise than him but I have trouble getting thru the chicane cleanly so that's where I lose time. I don't need to throw more upgrades at my car I need to drive it more and having seen the video of you drive I would suggest that should be your next upgrade too

You want to be faster in the chicanes, then follow BERT's advice and get the lighter gsf(0.5mm) body to lower your center of gravity and stop the excessive pitching and rolling caused by heavier bodies...... You can also try the cf driveshaft, titanium turnbuckles, cutting the motor mount, lightweight aluminum screw kit, faster servo(protek 160ss),and lower your body as much as possible........ Lots of possibilities here, just don't give up to cater to the Xray boys....ok..... Viva el tc4 !!!!! Tc4 for President, etc........

Man, nobody ever gets any good tech discussion done on this thread anymore. It's all blocked posts of Bert.

To answer your question, a setup that has less droop and possibly a softer spring/shock oil combination may be more conducive to a car that runs switchbacks hard. It seems like it's not the loading as much as the UN-loading of the inside that makes a car lazy through the swithchback. I would try just taking droop out of the car before toying with the shocks/springs. On my car I have run nearly no droop in high grip and it was always golden through switchbacks, I just had to make sure the droop was even.

Awesome Jeff, good running. This year I think I will put more effort into mine, I ran the Losi over the DC4 because it was familiar, but I think Diggity deserves more attention.

Did you run it at legal weight or was it 70g light? (I cant talk, I once ran a car that was over 200g light in club racing)

The lesser droop helps too, but well you already know what I'm thinking....lol....
Congrats Jeff, I hope to do the same soon at Horsham Rc... I can already see 8.8sec laps with the gsf body...lol...
Desert, the dc4le is way better than the Losi...ok...Scrap the Losi, and put the lcd drives in the dc4le....lol...

yes its now legal haha. hey man the type r losi was an amazing car. I remember how good that car was on foams. just fragile is all.

also droop is the most underrated setting on touring cars. I am running between 1.5-2mm front and 2mm rear and this is above ride height. not much but if the grip was any higher I would probably run 1mm front and 1.5mm rear above ride height. it helps the car transition and has better corner speed this way while keeping the car flatter. if my front end feels too twichty I add more droop or if my rear needs more rotation I add more rear and do the opposite for of the rear is loose I take away rear droop.

@desert rat can u still get type r parts? I passed on a really cheap one locally cause losi parts are hard to come by here. Also on my car my setup is really good it's totally just a driver issue I try to push the corner to close to the boards to make a straighter chicane and clip the board whichs slows down my times. If I run clean thru that section every lap Id do just fine
