I think there might be other dcj's out there that fit the tc4, but it will be hard to find... Hopefully Losi will make new lcd drives soon.....

@Mopar,
Is that a Factory Team car without the upper brace?

in the picture yes, but the top plate is now on the car, would not work without it.

OOPS ur right Totaly forgot about the 3x7g sandwiched between the motor and battery.

That would make my TC4 1400g RTR in VTA trim.

To get 1400 grams, how light are your electronics/batt & does that include a driver figure. Are you taping the battery or using a top battery bar.

I've gotten my tub TC4 down to about 1450 without a body - this is with a GTB, full-sized 2s lipo, and a full-sized servo. With a Pegasus Mustang, I'm just over 1550.

----------

I've been thinking about setting up my FTTC4 as a 2nd VTA car, but the last time I set it up I remember it being a bit on the heavy side.

I was going through my newer Club Racer kit the other day and found what seems to be a 'high spot' in my rear drive train. Something with the rear shaft pinion and the diff ring. If I rotate the assembly with my fingers you can feel a spot where it wants to stick. I couldn't find any issues with the diff case, bearings, or the gears. I have an older TC4 that has a smooth drive-train so I'm wondering if there is a break in period?

I have two on the diff, don't remember on the pinion.

I even moved the two diff shims around to see if that would help, didn't seem to.

take a sharpie and mark the pinion and diff gears where they bind, then rotate it a couple times to see which gear is binding on the mark, that will tell you where the problem is.
