I only run USVTA with my tub chassis TC4.

I was comparing battery location with the TC4 vs newer cars. The newer cars have their batteries more centered from front to rear. The TC3/TC4 allows you to run the battery further back (closer to the rear tires).

I decided to move my 2-cell lipo battery a bit more forward on Friday and this helped the car feel a bit more balanced. I should have borrowed some scales to see what my forward to rear weight percentage was.

sorry for the double post....

Thanks for the replies on the battery location. I've been running these cars for a long time and sometimes fail to see the obvious. Of course I could have compared my tub TC4 to my FTTC4, doh.

Checkout the new ”tc4 FFG” simple design on my ”bert” album , and hopefully One of you engineering geniuses will be inspired to turn it into a successful finished product.....lol..... Don't mind the limited drawing rendering, and embrace the idea....

I cant tell if you are serious of just taking the piss bert.

Either way torque steer is pretty much a non issue with the FT TC4 when using brushless motors.

runing the batery forward gives better ballance, the FTTC4 chassis only has the forward location (6 slots)

I know it's a non issue to some, but others seem to want a tc4 FFG , so I offered a solution, that's all.......

I've always run the battery in the forward location in my TC4. I agree that the balance is better that way.

I've ran a shorty pack in mine. need to run the battery forward or cat will traction roll. At least in my setup. To really help with balance, the esc should be put behind the battery.

Have you ever driven one with a mod motor? I am guessing not.
