Ahahahah.... Ray I must admit, I have zero practice since the Nyc state championships, but I believe my Car is fast enough to make up for the lack of practice...lol...

Did anyone generate a PDF for your setup yet? I think you mentioned that you needed help with your Mac...

Got the speed down the straight at 3.75FDR, and no motor overheating at all: I can touch it indefinitely... For the corners, I got to give it up to Ray's setup, with the focus on chassis rake... I will be testing further once I get a new body....

Default Question

What is a good fan & fan mount for the TC4 CLub Spec?

Also is this motor cooling duct junk or does it work?

http://www.rcplanet.com/Associated_M...p/asc31037.htm

Thx...

Also is the Reedy Wolfpack the hot lipo for VTA for a TC4?

5000 Mah Wolfpacks come in at 261 grams compared to a normal 5000 Mah coming in at 300 grams.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...5C-74V-5000mAh

I was thinkning it would be easier to add weight to the lipo side side of the car since everything is pretty tight on the right side.

Sorry for the VTA rookie questions....

I run the factory team duct in your link. works well. drops motor temps on average of 20 degrees. You'll have to keep it clean though. It sucks up lots of carpet. I usually blow mine out every round if I can.

The three best fan that i've found are : Gravity RC , R1 works turbo( the thick one ) and the newest Yeah racing Tornado. All are around $15 bucks

As for as mounting it . Just drill and tap a hole or two along the 45deg. edge of the long "L" section of the motor mount . Use spacers to keep the fan as least 1/2inch between the fan and motor.

I still have to answer your PM ! I'll get to it ! lol

Hey, Myron, I just printed your TC4 set up sheet. For front circle and triangle shims you have marked "club" not sure what this means???????

I glad it helped ! If you need more steering ,switch to HPI silver spring in the front . Need more rear grip switch to Tamiya blue spring rear .

Default Need Advice

I purchased a FT TC4 and got it running, but when I brake it spins out to the right. I changed a front hub bearing that was not free, but the car still spins out. I have changed tires three times.. hpi x patterns, sorex, and some other tires that resemble hpi x patterns. I have also played with the brake settings on the ESC and transmitter, but to no avail. I have checked for binding and did not find any. I am not sure what my next step is... I ran the car on the street for this test (asphalt). Fyi I am running a 5.5 turn motor with a 18 tooth pinion for this test and the spur gear is a 72 tooth. The car is not a missile and should be controllable.... Lastly, the car steers straight and I get it up to a fairly decent speed ...approx. 30 mph... Please advise.

The club a-arm mounts are taller than mounts that came with the original TC4 (Associated Part #31025). IIRC, if you use one of the 2 nib/bump a-arm shims with the stock a-arm mounts it is the same height as the club racer a-arm mounts.

If I get a chance I will take a picture to show the difference.
