I am seeking opinions. How necessary are sway bars for VTA and/or USGT racing with the TC4?

I would say it depends on the track...I run the gold heavy on the front only and nothing in the rear on a really low grip track. I believe others may run on both front and back for carpet or high grip asphalt.

I run the softest bars F/R on my TC4.

I also run the softest bar. I tried the other bars and did not like them at all....

metric axles for TC4??
Are there any current options to run CVD's on TC4 with metric axles ?
I heard that some hot bodies cvd's may be a fit but info was inconclusive...anyone here knows about this or any other options??
As it stands the standard axles are a big turn-off...can't even place car on a set up system to check for camber/caster/toe/balance etc unless wanna ruin the gauge towers by chamfering the axles holes...on HUDY, I think not, LOL.

I use a integy set up on my tc4's, works just fine.

i believe but not sure, that the Hotbodies knuckles & C hubs are meant to be used with their CVD's on TC4s...again info I got inconclusive unfortunately so was fishing to see if someone who knew could verify.
just double checked on the HUDY setup, for sure axle diameter is too large... does not fit.

Mugler, not sure if they are still in production, but Square RC from Japan made 4mm threaded axles for the TC3/4 dogbones.

I'm familiar with that brand since back in the day square also made some over the top beautiful mini-z wheels too

Hello every one I'm new to the forum and just getting back to on road
New to the electric thing but the local track is electric only so I just purchased a tc4 club kit and was planning on running a gt spec class
Built it with an lrp 17.5 and a tekin rs esc
This is a rubber tire class and a 2 cell Lipo limit
However I'm having gearing issues the guy at my lhs suggested I use a Robinson racing 64 pitch gearset with 56 t pinion and I think its like a 72 t spur for a rollout around 4.06
This can't be right since the gearset won't even fit in the car
And even with some grinding would leave room to properly set gearmesh
Any help would be appreciated I was hoping to race this Sunday but can't get the car ready

I run 62/72 on mine and have room to go up more using 64p gears...

I'm not sure what types of surfaces everyone races on, but my local track is concrete and I race my TC4 in USVTA. I had been looking for more on-power steering. I was running a light swaybar on the front and rear of my car, but after a few setup experiments I discovered that my car rotated through the turns better and gave me the on-power steering I wanted after I took both swaybars off.

I'm wondering about rear toe and anti-squat. What do the square, triangle, etc mean? Is the 2.0, etc in reference to rear toe or anti-squat?

Square, circle, and triangle signs are just there so you can tell the blocks from One another. The 2.0 is probably the rear toe, or it might be the shim #2 that slides under the blocks to raise the roll Center.... In any case, welcome to the tc4 forum........

I also run my tc4 with the #2 shim under the rear forward arm mount to get some anti squat, and no shims under the rearward arm mount...
