There is no gear diff that is a "direct fit" for a TC4. The Durango diff will work with heavy modification. Both the TC4 and B44 gear boxes were born out of the TC3 mold. There are some right ups floating around on fitting a Durango diff to the B44 which could be adapted to the TC4.

I found a right up on using a lightweight Top gear diff on a TC4 and successfully adapted it to my TC3. (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Stock-Edition) This also required several modifications. I've run it with 200k and 500k oil and it works great. It's also lighter than stock steel diffs and only slightly heavier than the plastic ones.

No I am not saying that. Pretty sure it will not work without some kind of custom work to the diff & or diff cases.

Maybe Rick H has some more info on this conversion

The gear box on the B44 is completly different from a TC3/TC4, it has a LOT more room for a gear diff inside.

I dont see the durango diffs working on the TC3/4, dosent look like they will fit the gear box.

I machined the durango pinion off of the shaft, and cut the b44 shaft down to the required length. I was going to c clip the pinion on but the b44 shaft was very hard to machine because of how hard it was. So I wound up laser welding the pinion onto the shaft. (Kind of sucks because if the pinion bearings need to be replaced I'm sol, I'm not too worried though cuz those rarely go out.) Then I had to machine some spacers to make the durango bearing fit in the associated case. Which is the blue plastic spacers in the pic.

I used this to put durango diffs in my b44. Might be able to rework it to get the diffs in the tc4

I am the owner of DC4 LE #10, will post a pic when I get it put together but I needed to make another order of parts so I felt good about what I was bolting to the chassis, my donor car had good parts but new bearings, pinion and drive gears, and diff internals will be in order.
