Thanks.. I have spares for "my" car so I can swap them and just get more spares if/when I need them. Do you see anything else in the pic that looks like a tc3? As I said, I don't even know the differences.

Also in getting my parts list together, (use exploded view of tc4 to get part number, search for part number on tower hobbies, etc)... Many of the parts say they are for a tc3 - for example..

2225 bumper brace
2230 body posts
2368 trans case

Are that many parts interchangeable between the 3 and 4 - that tower doesn't even reference the tc4 in the description?

What's a good lipo pack, are you running a shorty to keep weight down?

I am running a Thunderpower 3300 65C (205grams), but I think the Tp 4300 65C (250grams) might be a better choice if your electronics are on the light side....

I haven't raced onroad in a long time now but am planning on making the Prairie Knights race which had a great VTA turnout last year! I Have a tub chassis tc4 and a carbon tc4 and wanted to build up the tub chassis for this race. Have any setups been released now that this car was re released? I went on associateds web site and couldn't find anything... I would really like to get a good starting point for vta since I have always just kind of winged it with my setups.

Another question... sorry if this has been asked I have not re read all of the thread that I have missed in the last year.

Is associated making the new version of this kit out of the newer plastic they use on their offroad cars?

Petitrc.com. good spot for setups. depending on that track (from what I remember it's big) would be Blue /Blue springs with 35F 25R oil and longest camber in the rear and 1 less than longest in the front. 4 Degree Caster .5 degree front tow out. X3.0 rear toe block Lowest roll center (no shims under a-arm mounts)

Actually very few parts are interchangeable. The suspension arms use larger hinge pins on the TC4, the mounts have different hole locations, the C-hubs are held in differently, etc. About the only parts that are the same are the diffs & gearboxes.

Don't fool yourself, you still need a better car.
