The part is upside down as shown. (you are looking at the side that goes to the chassis). It bolts on top of the 2 holes in front of the motor.

It's fairly easy to install, but it can cause alot of glitching too... Good luck....

Hi everyone, I won a TC4 RTR today at a race as a door prize. I am going to pull out all of the electronics and put in my own gear. Would anyone on this forum be interested in buying the stock electronics?

Ok guys I just got a TC4 Club racer and I need some help. I just had my first race with it today but had some traction issues on the rear. The rear end just keeps comming out, I had to almost drift the car to do something. I still managed to make the A Main but I was not on par with the other guys. First the car is bone stock so I need to buy some things like swaybars, front diff, etc. Can you guys point me in the right direction on set up for a small track with some 180 corners? Also we race this class as Super GT with closed end bell 20 turn motors. I'm using the same motor as most but I was very slow on the upper end. The guys passed me on the straights like I was standing still. I changed gearing to 86/40 with 64 pitch gears but the guys just kept on going by me. After every run the motor was just at 138 degrees so it was not hot at all. Most were around 175. I think my speed control has something to do with the lack of top end. I was using a LRP Quantum 2 that I used on my 1/12 scale. I also have a LRP Sphere (the original one), wish one do you guys think it's going to perform best?

For the rear coming out, make sure you lower your roll center as much as possible, loosen the rear diff, and lower your rear droop, lower your steering dual rate... As far as motor gearing, try to gear the same or higher than everyone else, but make sure you also try one of your competitor's motors. They might be way faster than your motor because of some secret treatment nobody will tell you about.....

I'm just getting back into TC racing for fun after a 5 year break. Things are much more advanced and I need pointers on initial setup of the TC4 club racer for parking lot racing. I will be running Speed Passion Cirtix Series "Stock Club Race" ESC and Motor Combo (10.5T), Sorex 36R tires, 5000 lipo's, Hitec HS-5565 MH servo, HPI BMW M3GT body. My main issue is where to start with pinion gearing and replacement shocks.

Cool

FOR ALL TC4 RACERS: PLEASE LOWER YOUR,CAR 'S ROLL CENTER BY FITTING FT TEAM ARM MOUNTS(#31064 and #31068) IN YOUR CAR WITHOUT ANY SHIMS.... OTHERWISE YOUR CAR WILL BE A BRICK, AND A TRACTION ROLLING KING !!!!

runing #2 shims all the way around with the FT mounts without traction rolling, must be a set-up thing

If you already have the mounts, you can experiment, but if you have the stock RTR mounts, you're doomed... I don't think the club racer comes with the FT mounts, and hopefully racers will heed the warning......

Where are the shims you are talking about? On the hinge pins?

The shims only come with the factory team kit, not the rtr... They go between the arm mount and the chassis...

Cool

Rojna is absolutely wrong here ! I own three rtr's and two ft kits and I never had shims included in the rtr's ! The rtr only comes with a thicker arm mount than the ft aluminum mounts, which makes it impossible to lower the roll center through the arm mounts... Also, you can't shim the already thick rtr arm mounts, and expect better handling that way: you will have raised the roll center so high that the suspension will not absorb any lateral force, thereby tration rolling endlessly... Tc4 racers, beware of these quick spiteful unfounded posts that carry zero explanations...
