Does anybody know which spur gear adaptor I need to run a Robinson spur? The adaptor that came on my club racer doesn't line up with the holes on the Robinson spur (only kimbrough I guess).

Cool

It lines up ok, but you need to use two holes only to screw the spur gear, not three ! The third screw is not necessary... I think you can even put four screws to hold the spur gear in a cross pattern if you want more holding power, but it'll only add unnecessary rotational mass to the drivetrain......

What spur comes pre-installed on the TC4, and what is the count of teeth on the one in the bag that is also included? Thanks...

The 72t spur gear comes pre installed in the tc4, but the one in the bag should have the number of teeth written on it, and I think it might be a 69t spur....

Now I see why I could not tell what size it was at first...I was trying to find this while still in the bag.

Default FDR

Hey quick question, with the cars internal ratio of 2.5 to 1. What FDR are you guys running for 17.5 blinky? I have a 72 tooth 64 pitch spur with a 54 tooth pinion ready to go but I am curious to what everyone else is running without a fan or big heatsink. Thanks!!

The 72t spur with the 54t pinion will give you 3.333FDR, which is a little too high for a 17.5t for a medium size track. It might work for a long flowing track though. The best FDR for 17.5t is from 3.6 to 4.1.....

3.6 to 4.1, okay cool. If that's what you run, what temps do you usually come off the track at? The track I run at would probably be considered medium and can be switched up between tight and technical to open and flowing (nitro friendly as some would say) There is a few that run the TC4 at my track but I am curious to see what others are having success with.

I ran 3.65FDR in an indoor carpet track (medium) , and could hold my hand on the motor after a qualifier... I guess it went up to 120F at the most.... I run Novak esc and motor though, others were smoking.....

Default TC4-how to install motor cooling fan/duct Part #31037

I bought a TC4 from this forum and it also came with the cooling fan/duct - Part #31037. But I cannot seem to put it on. Anyone have pictures or instructions on how to install this?
