Once the lower arm mounts have no shims under them, all you need to do is raise the inner camber links until the links become paralell to the ground in the rear, and slanting slightly tutowards the tires in the front... I left about 3mm of thread on my ballstuds, and used loctite to make them stay put...

Picked up a TC4 two weeks ago and I have a few questions.

1. My LHS runs a 17.5 brushless class. I found a local that can sell me a decent motor but I still need a decent ESC to run. What are some good sensored options that won't break the bank?

2. I have no idea what size Lipos can fit in the battery tray. What are some commonly used 2s lipos used in these cars?

3. I currently have a 19t x 2 motor in the car that's loads of fun but it heats up after about 10 minutes of fun time. What size is the stock pinion of this car? Will I need to go smaller in size for the motor to last longer?

4. Where can I find a decent temperature gauge to check on the motor temp?

I've been thinking about getting an on-road car. I always looked at the TC4 RTR but have no need for the RTR electronics. This is perfect.

Tekin Rs is the best out there weight wise, with Savox 1251 servo, and spektrum receiver... Cheap esc's are usually on the heavy side, but you can get a Novak gtb2 with xdrive combo for cheap....

I am going to pull out the TC4 and see how much clearance there is below the A-Arm at it's lowest setting and how much dremel work I can go to get the arms even lower

I need the Mr Burns Emoticon "Excellllent"

Took a look at the Novak Gtb2 xdrive combo and it seems like a good deal. Do you have any experience with this ESC?

I don't have the gtb2 with xdrive, but I own several of the previous gtb 3.5R combos, and none have failed me yet... The gtb2 with xdrive should be better than the old gtb's , and you can run mod with it too (3.5R/ 4.5R)... My gtb 3.5R is as fast as those new 6.5t motors with timing; I got no problem pulling them down the straight in my tc4.... I think there are two versions of the gtb2, and I would recommend the one that can run a 3.5turn motor, even if you only plan to run 17.5's only....

Awesome! As far as my other questions go though what size lipos should I be looking for? I take it you run lipos in your TC4.

I just checked out the gtb2 with xdrive and the #1749 model is the one that can eventually run mod 3.5t motors, but I don't think it comes as a combo though.....

By combo do you mean ESC with a motor?

I already have a motor I'll be picking up. Just interested in the ESC

I need some high grip rubber tires. What's the best ones out there for mainly concrete use.

Yes , I meant esc and motor. The Gtb2 with xdrive #1749 goes for about $100 to $115 new, but it weighs quite a bit more than a tekin RS, although it can run any motor. I am waiting for the Novak kinetic with xdrive to come out to see if I could run my 3.5t with 10° boost at 36000+ rpms.... I could try the regular kinetic, but I would rather wait for the one with Xdrive...

Tekin RS is also a good ESC for my application? The less weight the better to be honest.

Also any opinions on a good hard cased 2s lipo that will fit in the battery tray without major modification?

Jdeadman, the arm mounts are low enough not to need dremeling, and to lower the roll center too much is also not recommended by the expert racers, but if you want to experiment further, please do. I think the arms are 8.27mm thick, and might be able to be dremeled down another 1.5mm to 6.77mm . I know this mod is necessary in the Ntc3 , but the tc4 arms are low enough for me. Good luck buddy....

I only use thunderpower packs without any mods. I like the TP 3200 40C (208grams) with no punch or top end or runtime problems ,even with an inefficient brushed Monster Horsepower motor. I tried to use the Tp 5300 65C pack, but it did not give me more punch, just an overweight problem....
