I didnt do any of that, just took out the diff and thrust balls and installed the slipper pads, put some locktite on the bolt and tightend down until the spring bottomed out, the only part I got was the 31173 pads, everything else is stock.

You must start with a metal diff, this will not work with the plastic one. Im using the 31062 outdrives..

Thx!
with a spool you have full time 4wd ... on and off power and when braking.

High bite = 1way

Med bite = diff

Low bite = spool

Thats just a guide line. Depending on your driving style or ability you can use a 1way or diff on surfaces with less traction if you like having more steering.

Do you have side to side play after the diff is installed in the case and the screws are tightened up? I modded the thickness of the pads to allow shimming of the diff in the trans casing. The pads form to the shape of the outdrive anyways, but only 'crush' so much... thats why i removed pad thickness.

You definitely have to use the regular steel outdrives... the lightweight steel have material removed where the pad contacts the diff half, and the plastic outdrives will just break.

i want to change the old/stock CVD'S with common CVD/Axles for more streering angle, the question is?

which brand i should take to replace or to fit my stock TC4 CVD with common CVD/Axles nowdays?

with the cup in the axles, not in the dogbone....
for drift of course.......

Wink

Anybody run their camber link flat in a tc4 ? It took me one #2 shock piston in addition to three 1.25mm shims to get them flat or slightly sloping down towards the tire . Most of the newer kits run them flat while the standard tc4 setup slopes towards the chassis side, thereby raising the roll center. I have to test this new low roll center setup to see if I can push the car more around the turns. I had a bad traction rolling experience with the regular three shim setup. Hopefully someone could chime in....

Interesting thought.

You will also change the camber gain by running them flat. That could cause a loss of traction mid to exit

Something else to think about is the speed of weight transfer when having traction rolling.

Getting the car to roll slower can help with that or have the roll center higher making it want to roll more instead of just pitching over
