Thumbs up

Also , as a security feature , you can use double sided tape to stop the battery from flying out if the tape fails...

Anyone know where I can get a pair of MIP cvds(or similar)? I'm usually decent at finding rare crap, but I'm turning up empty handed....

Towerhobbies should have the Factory team cvd's . Anyway anyone mixing Ae 80wt with Ae 40wt in their shocks to slow the leaks ? 80wt should stay at the bottom while the piston moves in 40wt oil. I also use green slime on the O rings....

No silicone oils will mix and create a new blend

if you put in half 80 and half 40 you would end up with 60 in about 5 cycles on the shock

Found the problem. Busted O ring . Everything is fine now. The Ae 31123 is good but I have so many parts for the old Ae shocks that I have no choice but to use them. Also I put 80wt oil only up to the level where it would cover the piston, and then I add 40wt to top it off. I don't know what kind of mix I got, but I will test it next week and see...

Also I forgot to mention, anybody using throttle advance in their radios ? I put mine at 30%, and it shaved two seconds in my lap times running stock. Now I have to add throttle acceleration to the mix to hopefully shave another three seconds..lol...

bert, care to share your radio setup? I messed with mines earlier this week and improved a lot. I'm loving my fttc4 even more.

Ok IDCHUCK, this is how I setup my radio:
#1: Epa steering 110% left and 110% right
#2: Epa throttle 120% , brake 40%
#3: Expo steering +50% (for slow speed and tight track)
#4: Expo throttle +100% , brake 0%
#5: Speed steering 100% turn, 100% return
#6: Subtrim throttle -50% (brushed motor advance)
#7: throttle acceleration 60% to 90% (per layout)
#8: Steering dual rate 69%
These settings will make your car automatically run at 50% of top speed when you let go of your throttle while making turns, thereby automatically carrying speed through the turns. I always setup to carry as much automatic throttle through the S section of the track, and punch it everywhere else ... Make sure you stay on the brakes or else your car will take off....

Idchuck, throttle advance should be used to get the car going about 15mph to 20mph. If you run stock that will probably be about 50% of top speed, but if you run mod, it might be about 20% of top speed. You car setup will be crucial in carrying corner speed, but you won't have to input any throttle to get through the S section... Also , if you can manage without using brakes it will reduce motor heat dramatically....good luck buddy...

Throttle advance should be used carefully just until you can get a smooth lap going, and probably won't be needed as you get better with the rythm of the track. Right now I found that my rear ball diff was too tight , and my motor comm was done. Hopefully that will make a big difference next wednesday....

Good cwoods34 . My tc4 rtr is also heavy at 1465grams, with a tp3200 40c (208g) pack, but if your pack is not as light as mine, you can lose some more weight. I tried a tp4200 40c (263g), and a tp5300 65c (309g) in my car , and the excess weight hurt my lap times bad. I also had less speed down the straight , as I could not carry any serious speed through the turns with the heavier packs. The lightest my 13.5 Fttc4 can be is 1420g with the tp3200 (208g) I have, and I can lose another 40grams by running a low profile servo and a tekin RS instead of a Gtb...
