Default I pulled the IRS shaft out of my TC4....

My appologizes to Associated. The IRS shaft must be the reason for the front input shaft slop. I tried the stock one and it's not an issue now. The IRS appears to be the same as the stock part, but the IRS must be off. Anyone else have this problem with the IRS front shaft. I'm going back to both stock parts. Bummer.......I liked the lighter weight. I wish Ae would subcontacted Lundsford and make a titanium one.

Nightbreed- The IRS are great for a short period of time. Where the bearing sits gets smaller over time, I bet if you look at your shafts, there have two smaller grooves in them, lol. Mine did the same thing and I haven't ran them since.

JDM_DOHC- Is blue the only color available?

Upside... less overall mass and less polar moment of intertia...

Downside... obviously less balanced car.

Which is more important? Do all you guys balance your cars?

I'm considering trying to mount all my electronics as far out from the centerline of the car as possible to try to minimize the amount of weight I'll need to add to get a good balance.... but I'm puzzled because I don't see many others doing this with their cars.
If you are running your batteries forward I suggest mounting your electronics as far forward as possible. It will help with balancing front to rear and side to side.

FYI guys. The diff gears that came in my kit were too thick. The diff would not build properly. I bought some extra gears from the LHS and problem resolved............

Here is a pic of electronics. Before I add any weight I am going to get the car on the scales first. I will then add the weight where needed...

Default 28 mm Foams on the TC4

Does anybody know if you need to modify 28 mm foams to keep them from interfering with the front suspension?

Thanks,

Dave.

for 28mm foams you want to add shims to the front axel some people have said to use a diffrent hex but i have never tried it i just shimmed the axel out a little farther and it stopped them from rubbing

Dr_hfuhuhurr:

Here is the url.
http://www.titaniumracing.com/site.html

I think that SpeedTech can get also. I just ordered a bunch of gears input shafts from TiRacing that I needed.

RLove:

Hi,

Nice looking TC4..........STILL waiting for ours.

XrayEye:

Hi,

most of the TC4 owers at our track are grinding on the steering knuckles for clearance. instead of cutting the rims.

Thanks

What about finding the centerline of the chassis...drilling two small holes on that line and setting it on balancing posts like the XRay?
