I dont remember the Losi drives being available when i ran the Tc3/4? Ill have to refresh my memory on that.

I havent touched my Tc4 since last October. I like A LOT of steering. My EPA was in the 60's as well but i rarely dipped into the wheel that much once i changed caster and added the Tc3 steering rack.

Those lcd drive came out with the jrx-s type R, a good three years or more now , and are a direct fit on the tc4 if you widen Ae caster blocks a bit ! They offer a lot of advantages, specially when using Irs aluminum spools !!!!

Another advantage of those lcd's , apart from being cheap$35 a set of two , is that they increase driveline efficiency by a mile !!!

Steel spool is fine up front as long as you run lcd's ! Even if you run a diff, you still need lcd's to protect the balls and diff bolts ! I feel these changes will bring the tc3/4 car back on the rc scene!!!!!

Other than the Lcd's ,I only run tc4 parts . I never tried losi caster blocks . To fit the lcd's in the tc4 you only need to widen the Ae caster blocks just enough so the lcd won't touch anything at full wheel lock ! You don't have to worry about length, axle size or bone fitting the outdrives ! It will almost feel like they were designed for the tc4 !!! I have been running my tc4 for years with no visible wear on the aluminum outdrives ! I also grease my outdrives a bit ........

I'll see if my LHS has them in stock. I figured it out "short".

Yeah short rear hubs Ron... sorry i dont get on here everyday like i used to. Ill PM ya my new cell #. Texting is always fastest.

You also wanna run a circle and X 3.0 hingepin blocks in the rear. This will widen the rear a touch to add stability and steering, and reduce rear toe a bit. The Tc4 aint like some belt cars that 'need' 4 degrees of rear toe in to keep heat in the tires.

One of the last things i found that worked on that hot asphalt was running a firmer compound up front. Like 36's up front and 32's out back (even did 40's front and 36's rear). If i pushed the car hard the front tires would get too hot and fade after 4 minutes (spool). Heating the fronts to track surface temp, and the rears to ambient air temp just prior to the run gave me predictable traction from the start... instead of having to wait for the fronts to 'come in' 3 laps later.

I kind of ran into the same type of problem , but with the front tires (sweep40) biting too much . I had to only sauce the rear tires, and put some dust up front ! The tc4 is very capable, but needs to be made ready every time it steps on the track. Do not assume that everything is ok at race day because it was fine the day before ! Constant attention to details is crucial....

Put my car on track today felt okay even though I had the wrong tires (28's) need to work on ESC and set-up it went from box to track just changed ESC and receiver. Next weekend is on-road so I have time to get it right.
