Seems like I should've sold mine for more. I sold my FT TC4 for AUS$120

LOL I appreciate the offer, but i am literally swimming in Tc3 and Tc4 parts. About the only thing i want are the threaded shock bodies that arent blue. I have 10 pair of blue threaded shock bodies and didnt feel the need to buy them then. Now i want them for a change of color for the chassis.

I might buy a few more Tc3 tubs if this car i just put together works well. Its basically a complete Tc4 using the Tc3 tub. Yep, i even swapped the Tc4 arms/pins using the tc3 suspension mounts.

I am thinking of putting NTC3 front arms and hubs on one of my TC3s, have you tried that?

NTc3 arms are reaaallly wide where the hingpin is. I had to mod both F and R Tc3 arm mounts to fit the Tc4 arms and pins. I dont see there being room for the NTc3 arms... at least not without a lot of fabrication. Dont let me discourage you though, if you get it to work i wanna see pix!

I have what I think is all the parts, I just haven't taken time from off road to try it. I looked very carefully at the blowups before I decided to try it. Just thought maybe you had already done it.

Hey guys. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of my set up. I'm open for some constructive criticism. Just looking to find another opinion. I'm running on a track around 200 x 100. Its got a long strait and sweeper, but the infield is pretty tight and tricky. I'm running 35 weight shock oil, blues in the front, silver in the back. I'm not using the center brace thing, i got mine with a modified spine plate. I'm also running 5 mm ride height front and back. Rear shocks are laid down, but the fronts are standing almost all the way up. I have a one way up front, steel diff in the rear thats been tightened quite a bit. It seems to be handling pretty well now after someone at the track helped me set it up some.
Thanks.
Dan

Need help on choosing a brushless for my new tc4, what do you guys recommend? Im new to electric on road Ive had brushless offroad. I'll be running 2 c lipos, and mainly just racing with freinds. Ive tried searching but this thread has 600 plus pages I was looking at the novak havok 8.5 or the 10.5 would that be a good choice? Im on a budget I dont really want to spend more than 160 bucks. again thanks for any input.

160 bucks is a tight budget, but yes, i have tried the Havoc in my tc4 before, and yes, it'll work pretty well for a cheap brushless system. Now i have the Novak Ballistic and a LRP TC Spec. Its light years better. I won't go back to one of those lower level ones. Yes, it'll be a step up from the stock brushed motor or whatever, but if your at all serious about it, go get a higher level motor/esc. Good motors- Ballistic, Speed Passion V3.0, Nemesis, etc are the best on the market right now. Good ESCs- new LRP one, the Tekin, the mamba max, etc. Theres multiple good choices. If you can't afford these systems new, you can find a lot of these used for a lot cheaper from people

EZrun/hobbywing/Yeah 9T/35A kit (or get the 60A esc) The kits with the finned motors. Lipo compatble.
Its really fast, reliable & 1/2 the price of the big name brands.
Good enough to be the spec system(13T) for Australian Mini Racing.
eZRUN brushless system

I have 3 of these kits in different cars. If you get the 9T, stock up on tyres. I went down to the slower 12T in as the 9T was a bit fast in my Xray for fun racing with friends. I have the 9T in my drifter & in my mini basher.

Remember, the faster you go, the crashes get more frequent & more expensive

Will you ever be racing at a track? If you ever plan on racing your track will have a motor limit for novice stock, and you should get that. If not, get whatever your heart desires As long as you feel confident.

tc4 - MMM with 7700kv 72/31 and 11.1v 5000mah 20c. Really quick. I'm waiting to get 5000mah 40c or 14.8v 5000/20c.

TC3 - I used TC4 A-Arms - no issue.

That setup may be too quick to start with. I know, you've had experience with offroad, but onroad is completely different
