I'm only using the electrical tape just to stop sideways movement of the pack, I foundout the hardway with my NiMh packs. Having the battery end up 1 metre away from the car on the track during race ain't a good thing.

It's a prototype. And far too impractical, to make a successful return in the market. So, if you were to buy this, and if it fails. You'er left with a vary expensive paper weight. You'er better off buying new car that's already proven.

What tires and compound? I can give you a good baseline setup to start with.

I got to run the tub car again. I think its prolly the best it has ever been. I added a modified FT Tc4 upper deck, which is nothing new by any means.

The bushings are from the T4/B4 steering rack, i believe. They are the same demensions as the Tc3/4 caster block bushings... just longer.

A few of the car in general. How you like that old skool receiver/speedo??

Im gettin warmed up for the NATS in October. Im tempted to buy a new car, but im so familiar with this thing, im afraid to start over with something else. Apparently, i have to change to brushless and LiPo and im so far behind on that learning curve that i dont wanna take on too much at one time. Anyone have any input/opinion? Thnx

DaveW good luck with that at Frederick for the Nats. Good thing I guess is a one way works best their because with a sppol in the front and running these new brushless motors I would pretty much say if you touch anything you will strip the gears in the front of the car.

The belt cars are just so much easier to drive overall vs the shaft car, in at least 13.5 it will be easier. 17.5 might be a toss up on which is easier to drive.

Yeah i would agree the belt car IS easier to drive. I had a T2 for a while when it first came out. I did well with it, in the end i preferred a shaft car. Im kinda wishin i hadnt sold the T2 now... XRAY crap is so darn expensive initially.

The last time i ran at Frederick i was running a Tc3 with some Tc4 bits on it. I tried a one way and just couldnt get the feel for it. If i remember correctly i placed in the bottom of the A or top of the B (stock)? Its been a long time tho... lol.

I am mainly concerned with getting my consistency back. I would like to drive a Tc5F to see how it handles. A friend of mine just got his Mi4 together. Its a beautiful car... im just skeptical of its lack of a top plate over the front end. Argh... decisions.

Hey DaveW, could you tell me what ballcups and turnbuckles you are running? I was having issues with my steering and thought new ballcups would help. They had nothing to do with what was actually wrong, but the RPM ballcups I bought are just a touch to large. The edge of my wheels are making slight contact and are wearing the hell out of them! I got no problem running stock ballcups but they always seemed a touch flimsy.

The turnbuckles are Lunsford titanium for the Tc3/4. I dunno if they sell them as a kit anymore tho. The ballcups are Shumacher ball grippas, and the ballstuds are all Tc4 short (black) and long (silver) neck. Its really a bombproof combo.

Where in the hell do you find the ball grippas online! I've been googling them now for about 20 minutes with nothing. it doesnt help that my internet connection is super gimped right now. Think you could hook me up with a link or a part number?
