You adjust shock preload height to affect ride height. I had always thought droop was what you'ed adjust to change ride height, but one of the guys at the track showed me that it was though the shocks that you change ride height.

Thanks Fox. For the last 3 months now I have just threaded the collar on the shock body down till it just begins to put pressure on the spring with out compressing it. Time to buy a gauge and get to tinkering.

Ive been searching and searching... So many people ask, but no img links seem to still be working. I want to see a picture of the AE Fan Kit on the TC4... Anyone have a picture?

I have the FT Heatsink on my MambaMax 5700k.
Ive thought about taking it off and replacing it for a heatsink + Fan combo.
Or just finding a way to put a fan in front or on the current heasink

Here is a picture of the current heatsink...

Any feedback would be great.

wow thats low, what surface do you drive it on? I have mine set to 5-6mm front and rear.

I turned my TC4 into a drifter, with the rear spool and front one-way it's possible to effectivaly do handbrake type manuvers. Oddly enough doing reverse J-turns requires forward throttle to make the car spin from reversing. Going forward it's 4WD going backward it's 2WD.

I have a TC3 RTR & TC4 RTR. i have had my TC3 since i was 11yrs old & have won many races with it but now i retired it & put my TC4 RTR back on the track. i use a 7 yr old motor & old lrp v.71 speed control & have beaten much newer cars. it all depends on driving & setup. i don't use lipos lol & still use the stock AM radio that came with TC4 RTR. The TC4 is a good reliable car if u set it up good u will do good.

Holy @#$%, things is you can even see that the driver is turning the car to avoid that barrier but at those speeds alot can happen with small of amounts of steering.

I changed the sway bars to blue, use 30R tires, and run 6 of caster in the front. The car tracks stright, but seems to flot to the left on the back stretch. I can never seem to get rid of that, no matter what I change.

maybe that is just the torque steer of the shaft drivetrain? mine pulls to the left on WOT. I just try to adjust the trim so it tracks straight down the straight.

My car tends to pull to the left slightly at low speeds WOT, but I think it is more of a traction issue. Once it gets going, it is strait. Even when I had a 2 way and would brake, the back end would come out to the right(making the car go left). I never could get it to brake strait with a 2 way.

I don't know what motors you guys are running, but with a 17.5, I don't sense the torque steer people talk about. I think my issues are purely due to the car not being balanced. I really need to get some scales and get that done.

Default Need a little advice

I am buying a couple of TC-4's from a freind of mine. He said he will go through them before I purchase them. I need some advice on some "must" items I need to purchase before I hit the track. My plans are to run a 13.5 brushless system on the better of the two cars. What would you all recommend to set the car up correctly?

The worse of the 2 I plan on using in the Vintage Tran-Am class. Since there is more room for error there. Any suggestions?? Love to hear them.

O....BTW... My home track in carpet-smooth- around 45x50???close..

torque steer is going to be your biggest issue with the TC4 when running 13.5.
