Pakk- That is a BMI motor mount. I have one and haven't had any problems with the pinion gear. As mentioned before, you can change it out and put the ae motor mount in if you don't feel comfortable with that one.

Yes, mine looks like yours in the picture. It looks scary but it works. Are you having a problem with it?

No problems. It just worries me that it is all the way on the edge like that. If it works for you, it should work for me.

That is a good idea. Unfortunately, I run bigger pinions than that. The smallest I run is 45.

Thanks

Default setup request

Can you guys share a setup to start off with for my 2 cars? I run 17.5 on an out door asphalt track with rubber tires. I couldn't tell if you if the track was high or low bite. Sometimes it is prepped better days than others. The track is norcal hobbies if anyone is familiar. I have both a tub tc4 and BMI tc4. Both run one-ways up front and ball diffs in the rear.

Thanks

Default XLR8-V2

Has anyone seen this?

It looks like Diggity designs is still loving the tc4/3. They released a new kit that is more suited for lipo and BL.

Default FT TC4

I am thinking about getting back into racing after being out of it for awhile. To tell you how long I have been out of it I still have a new in the box FT TC4from when they first came out.

Is this car still good for racing at the local hobby shop level? Are parts still being made?

Any info or feedback would be great.

Thanks.

Yes the car is still a good racer, my FT TC4 is the only shaft driven car used where I race and its been equal and or faster then the belt driven cars, and is the car thats leading the class for points in Stock Tourer. At the end of the day its the driver and setup that makes the car good.
Due to torque steer (being a shaft car) I wouldn't run it in mod according to the previous owner of my car torque steer isn't a problem in Stock (17.5) and Super Stock (10.5)

Some people say that the TC4 isn't competitive enough to compete with the newer, and lighter belt cars. But my TC4 came in no lower than 2nd place in all heats and main. I was beat for 1st by a TC3. Ironically, none of the TC5s and XXR came even close to reaching 1st or 2nd.
