Nobody that I know of makes the bevel gears made of steel. Make sure that you shim them properly as that will help. Are you running a one-way or a spool as that is the only time I had problem with them.

Yesterday I broke a front suspension arm on my FT TC4, but in the process I lost a outdrive cup for my front one way. I'm not 100% sure if its a universal tc3/4 part or a tc4 only part as I got the car second hand.
I found this http://www.podiumrc.co.uk/product-112800.php and I was wondering if it will fit.

Not sure, but the TC4 outdrives might be the heavy-duty type, and not like the standard TC3 one-way outdrives. This is the heavy-set --> http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRLN7&P=7

Thats the one way I've got, so those tc3 outdrives should fit as that one way is a tc3/tc4 part. But for me to buy that whole one way is going to cost just under $100 due to the exchange rate plus postage
Thanks for the info.

I'm not sure, but the TC5 one-way outdrives might work and they're sold separately. But should have someone else confirm though.

Default TC3 / TC4 bearing sets ?

I posted this in the TC3 forum, but didn't get any answers.

Where is a good source to get a complete TC3 and TC4 bearing sets in the U.S. at a decent price ? I don't want to drop $100 on ceramics, but I want a good set of steel ones.

Thanks

Here is a link for you to check out:

Or if you found out the size of every bearing you could go to Avid Bearings and buy every bearing on the car for a dollar each. They would probably be better quality than the ebay ones. http://www.avidrc.com/

Hopefully that will help you out.

Wow.. bearings for $1 ea. ?? Have you run them in your cars ?? I thought $2 ea. for steel ones at Boca Bearing was cheap -- again wondering if they were any good for such a cheap price.

I have ran them in my B4 as front wheels bearings and when I got my TC4 I needed hub bearings so I bought some of them. They have been great. Their shipping is cheap too, only like $2-3.

What front differential would you guys reccommend for rubber on asphault with high traction and 7-9 second lap times. I have been running a tight front diff but the car pushes and Ive been thinking about getting the solid front axle.

Solid axel will give you more steering. It is what everyone runs (in every car) at the local asphalt tracks.
