did you get a carbon plastic shock tower? or the carbon fiber FT TC4 shock tower? if its the FT TC4 one, did you buy a mount or just the carbon fiber piece?

Default 13.5 Gearing??

Is anyone running the Novak 13.5 in their TC4?

I'm putting one in my wife's FT, and was wondering what gearing people have been using... About 18 second laps, I don't calculate for roll out.

Rubber outdoor on asphalt.

Cheers

from CO27 to Monster its usually 2-3 teeth less on the pinion for the same tire size... in my experience its closer to 2 teeth...

wow...you're running a 37 tooth pinion with a 100 spur and you're not cooking motors?? I run a 100 tooth spur with a 33 tooth pinion and the motor heats up pretty good, and it's a CO27. That combo gives me a final drive ratio of 7.6 to 1, which is where you want to be at.

it really depends on the track and whether or not you need more low end out of slow corners or if the track flows and you can maintain speed most of the track... at socal i ran ~ 6.50 FDR with a CO27 on some tracks...

its because im not a throttle jockey, 5 minute races 100/37 with 56 mm tires, co27 with 767s and purples, comes off under 170. also im running at our local minimum....at 3.31 lbs. (im 3.35 with transponder)

Generally about 3-4 teeth higher depending on the track compared to a CO27. Ask around the track for a starting point and go down a tooth.

Default Help

I have the rtr tc4. I upgraded practiclly everything. I have 3 racing tao5 threaded shocks, duratrax 8 turn racing esc, tower hobbies high speed bb servo .13, futaba 2pl fm radio, 3 racing heatsink with fan, 27 turn p2k dyno tuned motor, chrome srew kit, venom speed meter, 4200 trinity world champion battery packs. I race on carpet but cant configure the car to be really good. I race wit jaco tires using paragon. Its super fast but, i cant keep my car running smoothly at the track for the entire day. I rarely break anything so that a plus.
