You may want to take it to your LHS, sometimes just a fresh set of eyes will find something silly that you were looking at the whole time. That is the way it usually works for me!LOL! RB

Default Diff Problem on my Tc4

HELP! I have a problem on my diff. After the race as I feel/turn the wheel the diff lock/tight. Then about 5-7 min if i turn them it gets loss/smooth again.... I rebuild them so many times but they keep locking/tight after the race.

sounds like a seized bearing or you are assebling them the wrong way, there are different ways to assemble the diffs from the steel and plastic diff halves

Just built my TC4, there is too much play on the steering, how can I improve it? Do you have the same problem?

Now how do I do this? By turning down my epa on my controller?
Turn down your dual rate on the radio...

I have my epa set to full 125% Left and Right, but my dual rate (set to my thumb button, so I can change it on the fly...) is set to 60% on a open track it is less then this, on a tight track I have had it as high as 74%....

Use this: http://home.sc.rr.com/mlufaso/rc/FTTC4/index.html to set up your radio properly. The bit you want is near the bottom of the page...

Default Setup Sheet

Hey Jeff,
I have it set up according to sheet, but I have not been to track to check out lap times. It feels good running on the street at the house. I really do appreciate it and I will keep you informed. I may be at the track tomorrow to do some pratice with my touring car and my oval on the round track. Lately, I been trying to learn how to fly a helicopter with very little success. I need to get back on the ground. RB

I would like to get everyones opinion on this. I have been looking at setup sheets and I have an issue with how the arm spacing is noted on the sheet. for this sheet as an example:

http://www.rc10.com/racerhub/setup/r...o_dhi_2006.pdf

Does the setup show the front arm arm all the way to the front of the car or all the way to the rear. Also is the Rear arm all the way to the front or all the way rear?

For the front suspension there is the "Arm Spacing" section which have four dots and "Back" at the top and "Fwd" at the bottom. lets say that the third dot from the top is left blank. That is where the arm is supposed to go with 2 shims in front of the arm and 1 behind, right? The most confusing part is that it says "Back" and "Fwd" and for the rear it has "fwd" at the top of the box and "back" at the bottom.

Wouldn't it be more clear to change the "Back, Fwd" with "front of arm" and "Rear of arm".

Whats everyone think.

Corey

Roach,

My understanding on the spacing is there are 3 spacers behind the arm on the front and 3 spacers in front of the arm on the rear, so the front arm is all the way forward, and the rear arm is all the way back.

Default hi all

hey every body im brand new to this site. Not new to the game though. i just bought a AE tc4 and this is the largest and best forum for this car. this will be my first electric touring car. i used to drive nitro touring cars like hpi rs3 and an hpi nitro MT racer. I currently have a duratrax evader ST pro modded heavily very fast. brushless and all.. anyway just wanted to tell you all that i plan to race this car. I plan to race in the 19 t limit class. I do have a few questions.
1- stock out of the box with a 19t motor can this car win races?.
2- do i have to do any neccassary modding before entering a race? Does anyone have any suggestions.
3- what 19 t motor do you guys like.

If theres anything im missing, right now i cant think of anything else, but i guess as with any new hobby you get into trial and error will always take affect. please dont hesitate to let me know either here or message me... thank you and look forward to knowing you guys better in this forum.
