Use packing tape to hold your batteries in place.

Sad to say I am leaving the TC4 community. Have a look.

Can't wait to try it at Frederick next week so I can really get a feel for it and setup for a track that has lots of tracking. RCO tonight had like zero traction but still hooked up pretty well.
Very cool. I should be hitting the ORL Race this Sat at Kranzels and then thats it till next year. Schreff's car was very quiet as well.

Good luck next week. I should know alot more after this weekend of practice at Frederick. Since I ran my 415, RDX, and BMITC4 all at Frederick with loads od traction I will be able to compare my FT at Frederick under the same condidtions.

I know that after this next race my car is getting stripped down and overhauled. Im replacing all the gears, re-shimming things...etc. My car is very very free but its a little noisy. As soon as Jason gets some free time I might have something to show you will be definitely interested in. PM me if you like

Cool that sounds great. I need to free my car up a little. It is very smooth when you spin is slowly with no tight spots but it don't free wheel for a long time. It is still very smooth though. If it works for me at Frederick the next two weekks or so I will order some ceramics for the car. I'm doing that until I know I'm keeping this car for awhile. You know how I can get but if this weekend is any indication on how this car will be for me then I'm keeping it. It is plenty of car for me to run stock and aome 19T on occasion.

Hey I wouldnt waste the money on the ceramics...they add a little but not enough to justify the money. The car is dialed though. I almost wish I had a FT just to compare them. Spend the money on batteries and motors

nwilcox88-
I would try starting with a more standard set up and then make minor changes from there.
-Try 2 spacers under both fronts and 3 under both rears then you will be at the original TC3 settings. This will give you 0 front kickup and 0 anti squat
-Keep the square block in the rear for now for added traction (using the circle block in the rear with a 3 degree X block gives you 2 degrees of toe in but a wider stance than using a 2 degree X block in the rear).
-Change the rear springs to copper.
-Install the black front sway bar.
-Change the caster blocks to 4 degree with two spacers under the steering block ball stud instead of 4.
-Run the battery back.
-Then run everything else the same as that set up.
*If you are running stock definately add creep into your radio! You should have to hold the brake on to keep the car still and when you let off the brake the car should roll freely on its own. Not sit there and chatter like it wants to roll, it should obviously roll on its own.
This will counter the effect that the stock motor has when you let off to make the car come around on you.
-"Dope" 1/2 to 3/4 of the front tires and the full rear tires.
As you get used to it you can start changing some of those things (one at a time!!) to pick-up steering.

Found this way back on page four.

Ran last night with a long front link and three spacers under the pivot ball, four degrees caster and lower blocks all the way down. Man did it steer, almost too much. Will try moving the blocks up (both) next time to raise the roll center to see if that settles it down. All I did was raise the inner link which added a bunch of steering.

Thanks... You all have been helping a newbie on-road racer and I really appreciate it. Things are starting to make sense to me.

Hi guys:

I have a TC4, with a novak BL 6.5, with everything else stock. During accelaration it turns hard to the right. I verified the tweak and everything is ok, the car has been only ran once. If I accelerate pretty slow, it will try to go to the right but in less amount.

Thanks
edgar

I have my FT TC4 up forsale it has only been run on carpet. I have had it for 2 months. Also I have a set of ceramic bearings that fit for the entire car that I am selling and they are new.
